His hands were quite numb from signing at least three hundred times on three hundred albums with three hundred names. Not to mention the three hundred post-it questions he had had to answer. Baekhyun touched his swollen middle and forefinger and thought that although it was awesome that the fans all came out today to support them, he was happy that the fan sign event finally ended and they were going home. He slid his gaze sideways to the boy sitting a seat away from him. Even if he doesn't show it, Chanyeol was probably tired, too.
He must have sensed someone watching him because Chanyeol turned his head towards Baekhyun's direction. His breath caught and his heart stopped for a second when Chanyeol gave him a quick I love you, Baekhyun smile before looking away. It was a little bit droopy on the edges because he was obviously exhausted but Baekhyun could never get tired of that smile.
They just celebrated their 200th day with their fans and the months since their debut have been fun and rewarding but it has also been taxing. Baekhyun knew the other members thought he was the most hardworking of them all, the one with the drive and the most determination. But truthfully, he couldn't have survived it without Chanyeol smiling that smile for him. It gave him the push and the comfort he needed when times get so tough.
He wished he could do the same for him, be as sweet and as caring as Chanyeol was. He wanted to show how much he loves him so many times but the thing was Baekhyun couldn't do things in half-measure. It was because he was kind of afraid that if he so much as smiled at Chanyeol the way he wanted to, it would be so obvious to everybody how much the taller boy meant to him. And they couldn't afford that right now. He was thankful that they did share a room, though. Because what he cannot show in public, he could make up for a thousand fold when they were alone.
He loved him and it was a feeling that only grew as the days passed. The happiness of having celebrated their 200th day couldn't compare to the bliss of the past 700 ones since he met Chanyeol. He was hoping that even when the band separated ways, he and Chanyeol would walk the same direction together.
There was a lull when the organizers began to wrap up the event. He stretched his arms forward, bowing down to loosen the creaks on his neck and shoulders. He was confused though when he felt someone loom over him. He looked up to see his boyfriend, standing in front of the table holding out an album as if asking for a signature. Baekhyun heard Kyungsoo laugh beside him, amused at Chanyeol's randomness, before he was distracted by Jongin. He felt the corners of his lips lift as he got the album and proceeded to find his page to sign his name. It didn’t matter that his fingers were swollen. He would sign a million albums for Chanyeol.
"Oppa, please put a heart beside my name." He heard the tall boy say and he had to roll his eyes at how ridiculous his boyfriend's deep voice curled around the word oppa. But he did put a heart, three of them actually. He felt Chanyeol lean closer and it was all Baekhyun could do not to snatch him down for a kiss. "Oppa, please answer the question." Baekhyun watched a finger point at the small post-it note on Chanyeol's page and the urge to kiss the derpy boy grew stronger when he read it.
