NPR had a piece on 'All Things Considered' yesterday about Violinist Arnold Steinhardt and his half century quest to conquer Johann Sebastian Bach's Chaconne.
I had never heard Bach's Chaconne before this morning, but the three or four minutes I heard while driving into work filled my soul to to the brim, and, for the first time in a long time, I actually greeted office-mate Michelle to a hearty "Good Morning." And I, not usually able to manage more of a morning grunt, flabbergasted Michelle who turned and said, "What has gotten into you?"
