Link. I remember standing on my bed with my head and shoulders between the venetian blinds and my window, holding the gigantic library hardcover of Mossflower on the windowsill, and reading the entire book by the light of the streetlamp outside.
I stopped reading the series when I was 12 or 13 and the strict "rats and ferrets are always Evil" policy started to really bother me, but I still think back on the early books fondly.
