A Korean exchange student who had been in the United States for less than a day died today of injuries inflicted in a Monday hit-and-run collision.

The part that upsets me the most is that he was walking home from calling his family to tell them he made it to the U.S. okay.

I can't even imagine how awful the news was for them.
