[Arashi] Comfort-Fic "Call Of The Wild" Chapter 2

Jul 30, 2008 00:03

Soooo... I haven't answered all comments yet, but I... kind of had a little anxiety attack again today and was pretty useless for a lot of this afternoon. :(

Not fun, body. >.I can't complain, though, it's not a full-blown panic attack, it's something really mild and I really don't get it often (once every few months, or so), and there are people ( Read more... )

I don't think that's pathetic--it's how the body reacts to stress--and if you, like me, prescribe the happy fanplace for stress and it gets shaky or stress-inducing, it just piles the stress on worse, without relief. meh.

Yeah, that's very likely it. I've been grinding my teeth again, too, so it's very clearly stress for my body. I think the worst is the waiting for things to happen / news to trickle down the line, it's what makes you worried. And yes, happy fanplace is normally a good counter-balance for RL stress, so it's kind of difficult of RL stress AND fanplace stress happen at the same time.

(And sorry to hear that it's also like that for you. It sucks, doesn't it. :( But it kind of makes me feel better to know I'm not the only one, because for me it's sometimes a bit embarrassing that I even have something stupid as anxiety / panic attacks. Though I cheer myself up with the thought that it could be FAR worse and at least I now know that I don't have arrhythmia, which I worried about when it happened for the first time two years ago. ^-^)

2am . . . I feel old. When I stay up to 2, I still wake up before 7, and just collapse. >_<

I wish I could wake up before 7 easily. :( I would probably also collapse at some point, but I hate sleeping late and I still do, because for some reason, I sleep much better when it's light outside.

Ooooh, which AnS episodes? And I'm just downloading DnA #99, where Aiba goes through the hiring-process of a gay bar. XD And Sho visits a cosplay cafe, or something? It sounds like a lot of fun, at least! XDD (And my download rate doesn't suck today! It's actually up at 80 kb/sec! ^___^

Have fun watching!

panic attacks pretty much suck--first you have to be all stressed, and then feel dumb about how you react to it . . . I hadn't really had one since my second year of grad school, when I started breaking out in itchy hives every time I sat at the computer to write. So I left school for a year, figured a few things out and came back.

It came as a real surprise last week when I had an attack--not hives at least, but pretty much the symptoms you described, plus insomnia and really frequent hypnagogia, which pretty much means that I see and occasionally hear things that aren't there before I fall asleep >_<. Nothing like seeing nonexistent things in your room at night to make you feel really well-balanced ^^"

Stressful job, move, and worry about new job = >_< But soon it will be done, and I hope I can react more productively.

because for some reason, I sleep much better when it's light outside.

I can't sleep at all when it's light out--great in the winter; not so great in the summer, when the sun comes up really early.

The AnS I found was 60--with the korean food and the actress who worked in Korea for 5 years. Poor Sho was mocked pretty mercilessly for his confession fails. At one point, I swear he actually looked a little teary ^^"

Also, some spicy food, which was hilarious--and Ohno pretending to eat chicken feet, but not. Can't blame him. feet?? *shudders*

Also, I'm catching up on some DnA--Just watched the Circus episode (33?)

99 sounds amazing! I will have to DL now \o/

Oh, and I bought the Hard Drive finally \0/ 750 GB of Arashi storage. I don't even pretend it's for other stuff. And I suspect I could fill the whole damn thing pretty easily ^^" I will do my best o/

Oh, yes, the lovely insomnia! ^___^ Came to visit me in winter a year ago and decided to stay for half a year. I was definitely not sad to see it go on its merry way. ^-^

Itchy hives and the hypnagogia sound really bad, though! >.<" Especially the second - I think I would be very much freaking out if that happened to me. I've already got a hyperactive fantasy to the point of being able to absolutely frighten myself, if I had something like that, I'd probably go slightly mad. ^^"

But hey, we can huddle together (like Arashi on a smoke-break) and commiserate about the stupid ideas our bodies have concerning stress. XD

Ah, yes, the Korean food one! I LOVED the confessions they were forced to do! XD And of course poor Sho totally failed at the confession. XD We wouldn't have him otherwise. (Did he look teary? I can't remember! I'll have to watch it again - or wait for your picspam! ^-^)

Ohno pretending to eat chicken feet - and Nino being a little bastard and telling on him... oh, Ohmiya. XD

We were offered chicken feet when I was in China. I didn't eat one, but they're supposed to be kind of tasty. Not much meat, though, more scrunchy bits. (Still can't blame Ohno, though. And it's kind of good to know that he draws the line too, somewhere, even if it's just at "things that have shapes". XD)

And I remember the circus episode! ^-^ That was the one with Ohno and Sho getting totally excited by the peeing elefant, wasn't it?

750 GB for Arashi? That's great! So you don't have to delete the things anymore when you've watched them, right? I only have 500 GB, but with my download rate being so small, it's going to take me a bit to fill it all up.

It's a little freaky, especially since it usually manifests as looking like people--and not boyband members, more's the pity ^^" But it's sort of a semi-trance state, so it's not as scary as if real people were standing over my bed.

I was really relieved when I found out it's pretty common--and has a name that doesn't involve "psychotic" in it anywhere ^^"

Chicken feet? now that's scary. Though sometimes I'm really curious about all this food I never tried before I went veggie . . .

hat was the one with Ohno and Sho getting totally excited by the peeing elefant, wasn't it?

That was so awesome!! They were such boys at that moment &hearts I was a little surprised they didn't send Aiba who had seen the circus before, but ShOhno is always an awesome combination, so . . .

And I am so excited about the hard drive. I'm going to try to DL maybe 20GB tomorrow at the cafe. But I'll be positing too, so . . . we'll see. Or maybe not. Wednesday is my official fangirl day, but there's so much packing to be done >_< and only a few days left . . .

Oh god. O___________O
I would definitely freak SO MUCH. I'm not generally a very anxious person, but I'm actually really afraid of stuff just like that. (I blame my childhood-mummy-trauma for it. ^^") So, even if it was in a half-awake state, I'd probably just freak out.

Chicken feet? now that's scary.

I don't think it's all that much different from eating other chicken parts, except not that filling, because there's so little there...^^" (I liked the thought better than the frog legs and stuff.)

That was so awesome!! They were such boys at that moment ♥ I was a little surprised they didn't send Aiba who had seen the circus before, but ShOhno is always an awesome combination, so . . .

I love it when Sho and Ohno get excited. Actually, I generally love their combinations anyway, but it's an extra bonus when those two start being boys at each other. It's so beautiful when they crack up, because they both have such distinctive and absolutely infectious laughter. &hearts

Did you manage to download the stuff you wanted to? You've already moved, haven't you? Good luck in getting settled! ^___^ (I hope the fic will finished in time to serve as a sort of house-warming gift. ^-^)

I think the chicken feet thing bothers me in the same way meat onthe bone bothered me when I ate meat--you can actually see the animal there, which skeeved me out. Frog legs would kind of do the same thing. On a rational level, I think it's really healthy and good to acknowledge what one's food is and everything . . . but that made me not really want to eat meat, so . . .

Exactly &hearts

They tend to get very goofy with each other, and I love to see them give each other crap. It's pretty adorable!

Happily, I am all packed and everything is on its way to TX. I am not there yet, since the shipment of our stuff won't arrive until Monday at the earliest, so we're taking a leisurly trip to TX this time. We're inIllinois, visiting family, then MO to visit a friend for a day or two, and then on to TX. Once we get there, it's going to be crazy busy >_<

And actually catching up on comments since I haven't had internet is pretty much the extent of my fangirling Wednesday, more's the pity >_<

Ooooooooh! fic!

*is happy*

I hope things are going better for you . . .

*hugs*
