OK, second fic-spam.
Slight history of this fic: It started out as a drabble in
darkeyedwolf's journal, which I continued because I really liked the concept.
The whole thing is a bit difficult, though: It's completely written in dialogues, with no indication as to who is saying what at which time. It's also a story inside a story (sort of) and it's pretty long, for that kind of thing. I'm not sure, but I think it might be pretty confusing and maybe hard to read... so I decided to post part of it first.
It would be nice if you could tell me whether it's understandable for others, or not. (Please?)

Aiba's Fairy-Tale
"Once upon a time there was a young farmer whose name was Satoshi. He was a simple, hard working boy, who always took good care of his animals..."
"...And spent his days waiting for them to get fat enough for him to eat..."
"Shut up! I'm reading this story, aren't I? Yes. Anyway. Satoshi worked very hard at his farm and took good care of his animals. He had ten cows: Two were black and white and called Daisy and Buttercup, three were red and white and called..."
"Get on with the damn story, we don't need their stupid names!"
"Yes, yes... geez... He also had three horses, big and slow animals made for heavy work, who were call... yes! I've already stopped! Yes, three horses, six geese, thirteen pigs..."
"Ah, Aiba-chan, just skip the animals he had, OK?"
"Fine, fine... ANYWAY: Satoshi was a hard working with a farm with lots of COOL AND USEFUL animals and although he had to work so hard, his life was quiet good. He also had a girlfriend, called Nina, whom he'd known for nearly all his life and who he liked very much and who he wanted to marry once he had enough money to give her a comfortable life."
"...Nina?"
"...Who's Nina?"
"Aiba-chan, are you sure it's not supposed to be Nino...?"
"...Wait. Why is his GIRLFRIEND named after me?!"
"...Eh? Huh? Ah, yes, of course! Thanks, Sho-chan!"
"...Nino. His girlfriend called Nino."
"WHY AM I THE GIRL IN THIS DAMN STORY?! AND STOP SMIRKING, MATSUMOTO!"
"I like it."
"Of course you do, Captain. Aiba, could you continue the story, please?"
"Sure thing, Sho-chan! The girl, NINO, was very beautiful. She was light and wi..."
"Willowy."
"...light and willowy, with a delicate, tiny body..."
"I think Nino might explode any minute now."
"Shut up, Jun."
"and a sweet smile that was known for miles around."
"They obviously don't know Nino all that well."
"Well, it's a story, right. Also, when do we feature, Aiba-chan?"
"Right now! She liked Satoshi as much as he liked her and she looked forward to being married to him, warming his bed at night, carrying his children..."
"Meeeeh! What the hell, Aiba! Why do I have to carry the children?! And Captain would be much better at warming a b..."
"I. Do not. Need to know about Nino's sexual fantasies, Aiba."
"You never let me continue! You always interrupt, MatsuJun!"
"...Please continue the story, Aiba-chan."
"Thank you, Sho-chan. ...Carrying his children. But - and this was a huge problem - she simply couldn't imagine herself tied to the farm. She wanted adventure, excitement in her life and being a farmer's wife, doing the same things day in and day out, was just not how she wanted to spend her life, not while she was still young and beautiful. She still wanted Satoshi, wanted him to share her life, wanted to warm his bed at night, receive him between her spread legs..."
"Stop teasing Jun, Aiba-chan."
"...do everything together with him. But not here, in this little valley, on his small farm. She wanted to travel with him, see exciting things. But Satoshi would not leave his COOL AND HELPFUL AND CUTE animals alone, so Nino did something thoughtless, something she should not have done: When she was at the market the next week and noticed a man watching her, she smiled at him invitingly."
"Oi, stupid, you just said I was so completely in love with that Satoshi-farmer-guy. Why am I smiling at random men now? And stop sniggering, you two!"
"Nino knew that the man didn't want her for his own. If that had been the case, she would never have smiled at him. No, he wanted something worse. He was, as could easily be seen by his grand livery, a servant to King Matsumoto - and he was on the lookout for beautiful people, to sate that lecherous king's appetite."
"..."
"Sho. Kindly stop laughing, OK?"
"Hey, you get to be the king! I'll probably end up that guy who gets you your beautiful people!"
"I'm a lecherous king. What kind of image are you giving me here, Aiba-chan?!"
"You know, I think he nailed your personality rather well."
"...Says the willowy and tiny GIRL who tries to get taken away to the lecherous king even though she wants to spread her legs for the dirty and smelly farmer's boy."
"Eh? She goes to the king? I thought she wanted to marry Satoshi?"
"...Captain - did you listen to the story?"
“ANYWAY. The man came over to Nino at once. “Beautiful child”, he said in his most soothing voice, for he had great experience with shy virgins, “I see you are all alone. Have you no mother, nor father to take care of you?”
Nino had both mother and father, who were earnest, humble and hardworking people, but she also had a plan, and so she answered:
“My father is dead and my mother is grieved and my sweetheart cares naught about me.”
“Oi! You said nothing about lyrics! I don’t want to speak in lyrics!”
“Aiba, are we all going to speak like that?”
“What does “naught” mean, Sho-kun?”
“It means ‘nothing’, or ‘not anything’.”
“I don’t know… I think Captain’s not going to speak like that.”
“Because that’s such a relief to us!”
“But I care about Nino!”
“At least one of you does!”
“Nino doesn’t care about you, though.”
“It’s a story!”
“You don’t care about me?”
“Hey! It’s a story! And I want to continue!”
“Stop pouting at each other, you two! It’s disgusting!”
“Hey!”
“I… I’m listening… to you… Aiba-chan!”
“You’re laughing, Sho-kun!”
“Yes… I’m sorry, I’m sorry. Jun, please stop kicking Captain and Nino. Aiba-chan wants to continue his story.”
“Are you all listening now? Good. Where was I?”
“Nino’s waxing poetically about being all alone and abandoned in the world.”
“Ah, yes, thanks, MatsuJun! Yes. …and so she answered: “My father is dead and my mother is grieved and my sweetheart cares naught about me.”
The man smiled at Nino then and put his arm around her.
“Dear child, your pain affects me deeply, but far deeper affects me the pure and humble gracefulness with which you bear your fate. Such untainted, natural beauty does not deserve such a cruel fortune. Therefore I will rescue you. Do you see my exquisite livery? I am the faithful servant of the most gracious of kings, King Matsumoto. He loves beauty of all kinds and has decreed that beauty shall reign in his court. Come with me and you shall spend your days in splendour and luxury, as your loveliness demands.”
Nino lowered her eyes. “My greatest wish is to serve King Matsumoto, for I can see from your passionate words and your wonderful attire that he is indeed a kind and sensitive man. But my heart will not let me leave my home without a word of good-bye. Please allow me to write a letter to my mother and my sweetheart.”
“Whatever you demand, beautiful lady”, the man said and Nino wrote her letter to Satoshi. Then the man sat her on his big, black horse and they rode off to King Matsumoto’s castle.”
“I’m going to puke!”
“…I really hope I’m not that servant.”
“It’s not too bad, Sho-chan!”
“It is. I don’t want to be a guy who thinks his clothes are the best part of him!”
“Doesn’t it make you wonder what that livery looks like? It must be pretty amazing if he’s so… Nino, stop pretending to puke on me!”
“Can you continue, Aiba-chan? It’s really funny!”
“Whose side are you on, Oh-chan?”
“It’s a good story, isn’t it, Captain?”
“Yes. I want to hear more about Satoshi.”
“Right away! Back home on the farm, Satoshi was feeding hay to his ten cows, who were all very hungry after they each had given twelve litres of milk that day, when a little boy from the village brought him Nino’s letter. He opened it and read:
“Dear Satoshi, HELP! The evil King Matsumoto has abducted me! Come to the castle at once and rescue me from a fate worse than death!
Love,
Nino
PS: Satoshi, I mean AT ONCE! No waiting for the pigs to give birth, or something. Ask your mother how to get here.
PPS: Asking your mother doesn’t mean you’re supposed to bring her with you!”
“That’s the weirdest “Help me” letter I’ve ever heard.”
"It does sound like Nino, though."
“But I definitely wouldn’t write something like that!”
“But she isn’t really in danger! She just wants Satoshi to come to her!”
“But who would actually go and rescue her if she wrote that kind of letter? It just says ‘Come here, because I told you so.’”
“Oh-chan, if I wrote you such a letter, would you come and rescue me?”
“Yes.”
“Eh?! Why?”
“Because it’s Nino.”
“… Y-you really have trained him well, Nino…”
“It’s disgusting, really.”
“Satoshi loved Nino very much…”
“It’s only funny if I pretend to puke on you, Matsumoto.”
“… and so he packed up his things the moment he had read the letter and had finished feeding the cows and had locked them up for the night.”
“Don’t you think that Nino’s letter starts to make a lot of sense here?”
“Because he was a good farmer, he went to his mother and asked her to look after his animals. She wished him luck and packed his lunch-box…”
“What kind of lunch?”
“AND SO HE SADDLED HIS BROWN MARE AND WENT OFF TO KING MATSUMOTO’S CASTLE. Geez.”
“Oh, Aiba-chan seems to be angry with us…”
”Don’t mind us, Aiba-chan, OK? It’s not a bad story. You know we just like to make fun of things.”
“Yeah, don’t be angry, Aiba-chan!”
“I still don’t like being a girl in the story, though!”
“Oh, shut up!”
“You promise not to interrupt that much anymore?”
“We promise. Please continue.”
“…Fine. He rode a day and a night and then another day. He rode through a forest and got scared of the animals rustling in the trees and on the ground and he crossed a wild river. At the evening of the second day, Satoshi reached a pub, not far from the castle. He asked the man behind the bar for a pint of beer and then he asked him what he knew about King Matsumoto.
“Why do you want to know about him, lad?” the old man asked.
“He stole my girlfriend”, Satoshi answered. “I want her back.”
The man scratched his head. “Ah, he’s a bad one if I ever saw it”, he said. “He searches for beauty throughout the land and if he finds someone, he never gives them back. I’ve seen plenty of lads and lasses just like you, and just as many fathers and mothers and husbands and wives and they all tried to get their loved ones back, but once they’re in King Matsumoto’s grip, they’re never to be seen again. Follow my advice, lad: take another girl and forget the other one. It’s the best thing for you.”
But Satoshi shook his head.
“I’m going to rescue Nino. She said I should.”
The old man looked at him with pity. “She’s not your girl anymore, lad. By now, King Matsumoto’s already had her.”
“Wait, wait! Sorry, Aiba-chan, I know that we promised not to interrupt anymore, but what do you mean ‘I already had her’? Do you mean that… What kind of King am I?!”
“Do you mean I slept with him?! Aiba-chan!”
“Ah, don’t worry, you’re still a virgin, Nino!”
“He’s not a virgin.”
“He’s one in the story, I mean.”
“But isn’t that a bit unlikely? When you think about it, Nino is Satoshi’s girlfriend and then she goes off on a three days ride with a strange man and then she goes to King Matsumoto, who you described as ‘lecherous’ earlier. Isn’t it unlikely that she’s still a virgin after all that?”
“Do you really think I’d sleep with Nino, even if it’s a story, Sho?”
“I can take care of myself, Sho-chan!”
“Well, but…”
“I SAY I’M STILL A VIRGIN. Understood?”
“You mean we never…?”
“I kicked you in the groin and made you sleep in the shed with all the big spiders and ugly crawling bugs whenever you tried something, Oh-chan.”
“See, as I said, Nino’s still a virgin. And now… Satoshi could be very stubborn, though, so he shook his head again.
“I’m still going to rescue Nino”, he said.
The old man sighed and bent close to him.”
“Is Satoshi a virgin, too, then?”
“I like you, lad, and if your heart is set on this, then let me tell you a secret”, the old man said. “My daughter works as a maid in the castle, but she’s not beautiful, so she’s allowed to leave when her work is finished.”
“Of course you’re a virgin. I’d have castrated you if you’d slept with another girl.”
“Wait until tomorrow morning and then go to the servants’ entry of the castle, which is near the field where the washing is laid out to bleach. My daughter will meet you there and show you the servants’ way into the castle. That’s the only thing I can do for you, lad.”
Satoshi was very happy and thanked the old man a lot. Then he went to sleep in front of the hearth and dreamed of Nino.”
“…Wow, for once none of us has a complaint.”
“But this is a really nice idea, don’t you think? I like how you let the inn-keeper and his daughter help Satoshi, Aiba. It’s a good idea.”
“Yeah, it’s a good idea.”
“See, I told you you'd like this! See? It's good! I told you, MatsuJun!”
“Don't fish for compliments, Aiba-chan.”
