Because I'm just AWESOME like that.*grin*
There was a discussion of something, the participants could not remember what, that was supposed to be low-calorie but tasted like cake batter in an ice cream form so who the hell cared HOW many calories it had? (Someone mentioned that Coldstone Creamery, IIRC, had something like it until it was pulled from the shelves in a salmonella scare?) Then everyone got hungry.
Since I had to go to the store last night, I cruised the ice cream aisle in search of this Grail. The only thing I could find that might have fit the bill (and believe me, I investigated the aisle with due scientific curiosity) was Ben & Jerry's Half-Baked Low-Fat Frozen Yogurt. And since they were 2 pints for the price of 1, I could sample multiple times.
Alas, since it combined chocolate and vanilla frozen yogurt with the chunks of fudge brownie and chocolate chip cookie dough, it did not qualify as "cake batter." At least not as the conversation ran, which to me sounded like your basic yellow-cake batter.
However, the brownie and chocolate chip cookie dough chunks are good stuff. And the frozen yogurt's not bad either. I tried it both last night during Supernatural and tonight, so there was no Winchester Effect (the "I don't care what I'm eating, the boys are so hot they make ANYTHING taste better" one, you know) to affect the second tasting.
I shall ask Snarky Trainer tomorrow, when I waddle into the gym after over a week's absence (first there was the financial aid day, then the gym closed due to inclement weather Wednesday). He appreciates the finer things in life and might know what this Grail consists of.
