but this time round, the offer's more serious. I told the offeror about my obligation to the existing department due to the plans that my bosses have laid out. But my offeror told me that if I join them, there'll be immediate promotion and opportunity to do something wider scope.
the offeror then went on to mention that they'll still include me as a target candidate and see what my bosses say and test if my bosses really have plans for me.
timing, people, geography ... not sure why always difficult to get it right at one go. When I was looking around for promotion / transfer last time, these offers didn't come along.
