During the windy season the wind blows our front door open and therefore allowing the cats to get out.
I was leaving for work a bit after Steven had come in from an errand and he had forgotten to lock the door (Which happens a lot, bad Steven). I was talking to him and halfway down the stairs I notice that the front door is open. I had just been petting Ferro upstairs, so I call out and run down just as Saryn is coming back in. After dashing out the door looking for Koshie, I see him cowering by a tree. He asked me with a pathetic mew and running low to the ground made a break for our door.
God was I so proud and impressed. That was the first time Koshie's ever come back and not lead me on a chase. I'm considering getting collars and tags for them - incase of accidents - and so I can attempt this again. I never let them out because I was afraid Koshie was too stupid, as he's always shown. Of course, today could have been a blunder and he just accidentally ran back.
Still, it's not safe outside with cars and boy cats. I can't help the cars, but Saryn will need to be fixed first and shots will need to be given if it works out. I'm not saying they'll be outdoor cats, but maybe once a week or something they can go outside under supervision.
