Thank you, spuffyduds!
I'm sure I'd seen it before, but I hadn't really noticed that memorial Fraser's dad had created to his mother in the Borderlands until I was ripping for this dead. Those are some nasty bad guys.

The vid is great - but what's really getting me excited is that you wrote Father Confessor on dsss! One of my favourites - I even recced ithere. Yay! Go you!

The rec's locked, but thank you! Exeterlinden's request pushed me to try something different for DSSS. I'm happy with how it turned out, and that other people are enjoying it!

Yes! I really like it. The lyrics make so much sense to me with the clips you use. I also like how the music has this driving pulse, it really fits with running and the action scenes. dS has so many stories that fit with the chorus... and yeah, Fraser does try to save them all.

The only thing I didn't quite like was when you had two smaller screens with different clips, because I just didn't have time to see what was on them both. Of course, maybe they're really clever choices and will make sense to me after more viewings...

I'm glad that you liked it, luzula!

And thanks so much for letting me know that you had a hard time seeing what was going on in the two smaller screens. I was worried that might be an issue. Were you downloading, or watching the streaming vid? I think it's easier to see when downloaded. But you don't really have to watch both to catch the point. In each case, they are complimentary.

I downloaded it. But it wasn't that the clips weren't clear, just that my attention was too divided to notice what was going on in both. OTOH, that might make for a more interesting rewatching experience.

*rewatches again*

Yup, still great. Mmm, I like storytelling vids. I also like the part where Vecchio bangs his fists on the car.

/slightly tipsy Luzula

Storytelling is all I know how to do in a vid. They have plots, story arcs - in my head, anyway. I also like the part where Vecchio bangs his fists on the car Me too! And the bit where Fraser nods "yes" to Victoria on one guitar strum, and "no" to the old woman who needs help on the next.

if there is a better new year's present than a new vid from you, i don't know what it is. YAY!!!

i really love this picture of the harshness of chicago, and of fraser's role there. it's sad, and frightening and hopeful all at once, but really throws in to relief fraser's convictions, and what they cost him. you really did a great job of telling that particular "story" of fraser with the images and the SONG. wow.

i watch a lot of vids, and many of them use the same scenes over and over again, and this one is FULL of scenes i've never seen vidded before, which was a pleasure. i felt as if i was being reintroduced to the show, in a way, reminded of things i'd forgotten.

i'm going to go watch it a few more times, and i'll come back if i have any other thoughts.

Woohoo!

I'm really glad that all came through, Zabira. Most vids are, at heart, relationship vids. This one's telling a very different story about Fraser, so I got to use a whole bunch of unusual scenes.

And you're watching it a bunch of times! *twirls happily*
