Oh, my, this is gorgeous. I like the metaphors you've made with the words and the imagery. These are also some of the best, clearest clips of Fraser I've seen in any vid. Very nice.

Thank you, primrose burrows! Once I got the idea of Canada itself being a character in the vid, those gorgeous lanscape shots from the pilot and CotW really inspired me.

Ohh, that's really great. So beautiful! And so atmospheric. The first half, with Fraser dealing with Bob's death and then coming to Chicago, and Victoria, and the explosion that killed Louis...all those scenes taken together have a certain desolation about them that conveys the tragic side of Fraser's story so well. And then, yay...the advent of RayK and lasting happiness in Fraser's life. Love that! My favorite moments are those overlapping clips of Fraser and Ray smiling from the scenes in the North (during the pursuit of Muldoon). You really transformed the vid's whole atmosphere at that moment, and it worked so well ( ... )

That first half is pretty grim - grief over his father's death and life in exille don't a pretty picture make. The second half (where he shoves Ray) has Fraser being attracted to Ray, but resisting and rejecting it, fearful. Then, once they're in Canda, it all comes together.

It really love the guitar work in this piece, glad it created that sensation of journeying for you, too.

Thanks so much for the feedback, js!

Lovely vid. I liked both the music and what you did with the lyrics. I'm struggling to find a favourite part because I like all of it, but if I really had to choose then it'd be the end. Like j_s_cavalcante says, it changes everything. And I'm a sucker for a happy ending. Thank you very much for making this.

Thank you, revbiscuit! I was SO glad this one had a happy ending, after my last vid was such a downer. Who would have guessed, "And I fell down dead and gone" would lead them to the happy place?

I love this vid! It was a great look at Fraser's journey from losing his dad to learning to love to finally being able to return to Canada. You made the lyrics so well and I liked the timing. My favorite part was the end with Fraser being so happy to be in Canada but yet having those overlays of Ray with him showing what he gained and how he came full circle. Great work!

Thank you, Anoel! This vid is all about Fraser's journey - I kept Campbell's "Hero with a Thousand Faces" in the back of my mind as I was vidding, considering the show in the light of hero mythology.
