You sound like you know a lotta 'bout the chips...

D'you know anything about... well, uh... getting them out?

They think I'm useless when I have the damned thing in, and I don't wanna sit on my ass while everyone fights these bastards...

...

I don't remove chips. From anyone. I don't care what powers you have or what you tell me you're going to do with them. Instead of relying on some ridiculous magical ability to fix everything for you, why don't you think for once?

... Maybe 'cause they won't even let me do anything if I have it! It's not like I have a friggin' choice!

Oh, well that changes everything. Of course I'll make an exception for you, since you are completely incapable of doing anything as long as you have your chip.

What the hell?

I asked you a question! You don't have to be a dick about it.

I can fight without my chip, but the guys goin' into fight against those bastards won't let me go until I get my chip out. I'm not askin' for any favours, and I'll do whatever you need...

And it'd be nice to be able to save my ass from Jeane too.

You asked me a question and I gave you my answer. You didn't have to be persistent but it seems you're on the slow side.

I don't remove chips from anyone. Don't make me repeat myself again.

No, you made a dick comment about me being useless.

Screw you. I wouldn't want your help anyway. You sound like a pretty friggin' pathetic doctor... You'd probably just screw it up.

No wonder no one wants your help.

And now you've completely missed my original point. Well done.

I got the part that you're a jerk. I didn't have to have it translated.

Hey Simon? Look, I'm sorry if my friend put you off. He doesn't mean anything by it- he's messed up about this situation.

Where we come from, our battling is what made him feel good about himself. He doesn't have much of a self esteem and he wants to make a difference.

I'm not trying to give you a sob story or anything, but please take it easy on him. I'll talk to him if I can.

[Simon sounds considerably calmer this time, but he's also very tired.]

He didn't really get to me, don't apologize.

...though perhaps I owe him one. When the both of us have had time to cool off.

Thanks, I appreciate that.

And about what's been going on- I'm glad to have a good doctor around here and I appreciate what you're doing, even though this nonsense doesn't seem to end.

Let's clear something up. As grateful as I am for your appreciation...I wasn't asking for anyone to pat me on the head and tell me I'm doing a good job.

But as long as things are they way they are...my job is rather useless, and sometimes I have to question why I even bother to continue.

Yeah yeah, I get it. Heh.. But thinking about it, I always notice the lack of appreciation.

Well.. it isn't too different from being a doctor in a normal place, is it? I mean, you deal with patients who can't help the things that happen to them, but a lot of time is consumed healing careless, ungrateful people. But the doctors keep doing it.

Unfortunately this place seems to be full of more careless people than sick ones.
