Rogue, Warlock

Jun 22, 2008 23:42

Some of the defining qualities of the Rogue class have been strengthened and diversified in 4e. Loads of damage, crazy mobility for you, and forced movement of your enemies as well. A lot of powers temporarily grant what is called "combat advantage", a term encompassing old mechanics like flanking, flat-footed, etc. This combat advantage is what allows sneak attack damage, so it's helpful that it can be gained in so many ways. The mobility and sneakiness of a rogue has gotten some new touches, as well. Old skills have been folded together so that stealth requires fewer checks, and there a number of powers which grant mobility bonuses while climbing, jumping from a standstill, running while hidden, etc. Buffs all around.

Warlock. Curses, fears, life drains, debuffs, boom whatyougonnado type shit. Compared against the NWN2 warlock, buffed like most things in 4e, it seems. Not really a whole lot to say here...
