I'm finding myself feeling particularly yeti-ish as the days pass and I get less and less sleep; hence the new userpic. I can just imagine myself rampaging Earlham, fangs bared, as if it was a small Himalayan village

It'll be December 22nd, in the evening, back home in Chicago. We pretty much planned it starting in late October, so the plan hasn't been that long in the making. We moved the date to now so that David will qualify for financial aid and loans and stuff when he applies for the MAT program. The downside, though, is that we're having a tiny wedding- just his immediate family and mine. We can't even invite our relatives because we (and my parents, who insisted on helping with our wedding costs) just don't have the money.
I'm really sorry I didn't tell you sooner, but I guess I just didn't know how to tell people- you know, it's strangely awkward to go up to people and say, "Hey, David and I are getting married, but we have no money and so aren't able to invite any friends, so I don't really know why I'm telling you this." It feels pretty shitty. The good thing is that we're planning on having a party for all our Earlham friends when we get back to Richmond, sometime in January, and you're invited, of course! We don't know what that will be yet (an all-day open house kind of thing where people can drop by our apartment and hang out, or if we can pull some money together by then, we'll take everyone out for dinner or something) but I'll tell you as soon as we figure it out.
I hope everything is going well for you (or at least decently, since the end of the semester is always shitty for everyone.) I haven't seen you in ages!
