This looked too fun, so I'ma do it too!

Ah no, wait, let's see. How to explain our beautiful bromance! It would just be cheapened with words, or maybe with visuals as the drama CD suggests, but nonetheless I shall attempt to regardless!
I think it could be best be described as There's Something About Otonashi. Right off the bat (no baseball pun intended :D), Otonashi gave off that kind of vibe, and Hinata thought, "THIS GUY IS AWESOME." Or maybe he's just got a soft spot for the newbies, but whatever the reason, they just clicked. It was actually probably when Otonashi had saved Naoi, though, that it really became apparent that there was more to him than just awesome hangouts. He had some incredible people skills and so much heart that he gives so freely to others (and no I'm not trying to jab you with that one; I'm sorry it's so true), and that was solidified when he caught him trying to help out Yui. So, more than even just a true friendship, Hinata holds a lot of respect for Otonashi.
And then that thing happened and now he'll never be able to look him in the eyes again. Ever.
VICE VERSA, BRO!!

And then there was Hinata! Hinata was basically the first person to approach him to like ~hang out~ and stuff. (Whilst Yuri told him he was on first contact, Noda killed him on the first day, and... yeah you get the picture.) So it was like getting a bro-best friend thing? Easily, Hinata was one of the first people Otonashi got attached to as a friend in the group which is probably why he freaked out so badly when he thought Hinata was going to disappear in Episode 4. So up until he got his memories back Otonashi always viewed Hinata as like his bro-friend. His brother except not blood related but his friend thing. Which doesn't make sense but WHATEVER!!1
Annnd then Otonashi got his memories back. He realized crud my friends can't stay here forever or else it'll make hurt them :(! And well seeing his friends hurt or sad wasn't something he wanted to do either. But what surprised him was when Hinata actually willingly wanted to help Otonashi with his plans to help the others. Not that it wasn't unwanted but... Still. :( However, he really appreciated it and was really happy that he wouldn't have to ninja behind his bro-friends back about the matter too.
On a note, he feels a bit guilty about the whole Yui deal. Hinata coming out of no where and proposing to her was like "What just happened what \o/" Honestly, he can relate to Hinata on the whole loving someone and wanting them to be happy but Hinata willingly helped her move on even though he knew that she would be, you know, GONE. So in that retrospect he has respect for him in that Hinata could do something he couldn't do all that willingly in ep13 8(
... bro you're breaking my... empty space... :( THE MISTLETOE WASN'T MY FAULT DARN YOU. But holy crud this turned out longer than intended SOB.
Though, really, now I'm curious. Your feelings on the mistletoe antics, Hinata B)
Reply
Th-The mistletoe antics ahhh... Um... Well...!! It's not that you're not--... No, it can't even be phrased that way. This question cannot be answered on the grounds that anything said may incriminate him!!
No but really, ahh... Well, he's forever going to blame you for not saying it outright sooner (but not really, because he will admit at least to himself that he wouldn't have believed it without visual proof). Their joke is just never going to be the same again!! And how is he going to face Yui in this or any life after this one. Those are basically his thoughts (although to be fair, you're a little old news, Otonashi, now that he was ridiculously violated by your shota bait).
AND I'M CURIOUS, TOO. RIGHT BACK AT YOU ONCE MORE.
Reply
But yes that basically sums it up very well. Otonashi is kind of just in denial over it. He's not going to acknowledge it ever happened and will act like normal. Because otherwise he won't be able to face Kanade and he'd just die of the guilt. So basically, it never happened in his book and if Hinata (or Naoi but Naoi was actually cooler about it than Hinata in his opinion :|a) ever brings it up again then he's just going to make an angry smile face. And be like "What are you talking? :) I don't remember that ever happening stop talking about it right now." Basically.
Hmmmm. SO how does Hinata feel about the rest of the gang not being here? :|a
Reply
SOMEHOW, HE'S NOT FEELING THE SYMPATHY-- hey what do you mean Naoi was cooler about it!! If you love Naoi so much why don't you just marry him okay!!!!
Oh, let's see. Well, Hinata's pretty easygoing and kind of an idiot, but he does do quite a bit of thinking on his own. He just doesn't voice much of those thoughts unless it's really important that he does so. As such, he'd already sort of kind of tried to hint that he was a little worried about the others, with Yui in particular, seeing as how they'd already ended up not quite how they should have. But Otonashi is so chill, man, he did a pretty good job of easing his concerns. Currently, it does make sense, too, that everyone else should have passed on normally, seeing as they'd left before this group of five and this group of five is all still together. So currently... Well, he can be patient. It's not a bad thing to have some more time with the remaining four since they're all precious friends too (even Naoi), but it is just a bit lonelier. Being the first member, he saw everyone arrive and saw everyone leave (aside from Otonashi and Kanade), so thinking about it from that perspective... Yeah, that time together was pretty short. It'd be nice to see them all again.
So Otonashi, seeing how things ended up, do you have any regrets about how you handled yourself in episode 13? :]
Reply
HAHA, regrets? Maybe no regrets on how handled himself but definitely regrets were piled onto him. Now if he had stayed in the Afterlife, I kind of see him just being... lonesome. Since they don't go into detail about what happened after that scene I won't make any personal comments on it right now till we this special episode 14 they have promised. Otherwise, I fear Jun Maeda will troll me. Again.
But anyway to be honest being here is a bit relieving for him. I kind of think he might have really gone insane staying in the Afterlife at some point because lolol.
So Otonashi brought up how he hadn't passed on yet once in the pre-intro to Hinata! What does Hinata think about this? :|a
Reply
Awww, Otonashi :( Well, if we knew, we'd be glad that you're a bit relieved!!
Let's see...... Yeah, that was definitely kind of a shock to hear, in more ways than one. It kind of severed that common bond the five of them had, so it sort of discredits their theory in a way and therefore puts a little more uncertainty on the safety of the others, for starters. But that's a passing thought since there's not much evidence either way on... anything, really. They're all new here, so there's a lot to figure out, just like they had to do in the Afterlife. More than that, however, Otonashi's expression did change when he mentioned it. Right away, Hinata knew there was a reason for it, but he wasn't going to pry for information, because he's pretty sure Otonashi will come to him when he's ready. He doesn't even really want to speculate much, because it seems kind of unfair and like a lack of trust, even if he wouldn't voice his speculations. So in the meantime, he's just going to keep a bit of a closer eye on Otonashi, since he really can't help worrying.
Man I suck at coming up with questions :(a;; Ummmmm... GONNA STEAL FROM THE ONE I ASKED KAI, SO. In what ways do you relate to Otonashi?
Reply
. . . Man, idek if Otonashi will ever go to even Hinata about the whole not passing on deal. WHATEVER I'LL KEEP MY LONELINESS TO MYSELF NO ONE NEEDS TO KNOW ABOUT IT!!1 ect
H-Hahaha, SORRY HINATA. Otonashi can't help being an idiot apparently.
... I don't really relate to him at all. I guess, in some ways his want/need to help his friends, people, and so forth is something I can relate to. However, Otonashi definitely handles things like that much better than I ever could. Thus, I don't know if I could say I relate to him. I honestly like his character because... he's a Key protag. Key protags never know how to take care of themselves but always get involved in helping others. AND I LIKE THAT. I LOVE FAILURES (8 /is horrible
Uuuuh, HEY HINATA IF I MEET YOU IN REAL WORLD AFTER REINCARNATION I GET TO BE THE BEST MAN AT YOUR WEDDING RITE? 8) Though, seriously, Hinata's view on how the wedding would go is cool too actually.
Reply
Deji why are you so cute :'(
AND OF COURSE HE GETS TO BE THE BEST MAN!! Hinata saved up enough luck for you, too, Otonashi! Haha, how the wedding itself would go? I think he expects a pretty traditional wedding. At first, I was thinking of all sorts of ways that it'd end up being unique to them, but in the end, I think that like their graduation ceremony, it would pretty much be standard, and that's just what makes it so special. At some point, he'd like for Yui to sing a song as well.
All right, Otonashi! What are your thoughts on your harem? Or even just the fact that you have one?
Reply
Fffft, you such a sap Hinata but that's adorable :^)
His on the harem? "Ow. I have a headache." since a majority of the time Hinata and Naoi are arguing like cats and dogs. And even though he tries to keep the peace YOU GUYS STILL WON'T SHUT UP. And you guys wonder why he would ditch you easily if Kanade showed up instead. YOU'RE STILL HIS BROS/STALKERS!!1 But Kanade is just cuter. Though he has a tendency to have Hinata go with him in situations like the whole shadow fight. :|a Also re: his opinion on apparently having a harem? He wouldn't get it because what part of it makes it a harem? c_c???
Actually, that's a hilarious question so I'll ask back. Hinata what is your opinion on Otonashi's harem 8^) (Yes that includes yourself.)
Reply
since a majority of the time Hinata and Naoi are arguing like cats and dogs.
... See above thread :'D
ALSO WHAT. WHAT. THAT IS A MOST UNFAIR QUESTION UHHH.
Well, Otonashi having a harem truly means that Hinata's time as main protagonist had come to an end... But it's pretty understandable! Otonashi's got main character written all over him! And he's kind and understanding and easy to talk to. I think it's pretty easy for anyone to form a sort of bond with him. But being included in that description ahhhhh WELL... He wouldn't really change it for the world. So there 8(
Otonashi! If you could have any one wish granted, what would it be?
Reply
To always be with Kanade. Whether it's in the Afterlife or in a new life. As long as he gets to be with her. /end cheesy Key moment
I'll steal your question this time, SAME QUESTION BACK AT YOU HINATA.
Reply
To always be with Yui. Whether it's in the Afterlife-- oh wait, we both passed on. TO ALWAYS BE WITH YUI.
But actually, he doesn't really need to wish for that to believe in it :) The wish would probably be better spent wishing that everyone could meet up again in their new lives.
/RUNNING OUT OF QUESTIONS SO Otonashi how about you!! What kind of animal would you be? :]
Reply
. . . That's a good question. I can't see Otonashi as an animal because like I said he's always the one trying to keep the peace between Naoi and Hinata's cat&dog arguments. Does Pet Owner count as an animal!?!!1
Actually I have no more questions :|a UNLESS YOU WANT TO EXPLAIN HOW HINATA FEELS ABOUT THE LAUNDRY NOW........
Reply
Well, for Otonashi... Pet Owner will count. :')
GOOD I'M OUT, TOO!! But feel free to come back whenever if you think of one, and I'll hit you up if I think of one too :]!!
In the meantime let's see...... I think he probably didn't realize how much doing laundry really sucks until there was so much of it to do :'(
