short update
Hey folks... Havent been on here in a while...
Life is going... decent. Went down to Austin about 2 weeks ago, and had a good time.. Hung out with Lee, Anthony, and Darla (got drunk at the bar, and passed out at Lee's cause I was so tired).. Ran into Tara, Summer, and DL at my cousin's 1st birthday party.. and basically spent the rest of the weekend inside with my parents.
Dont really know when I'll be back in Austin.. working this weeked, Larry Joe Taylor fest next weekend, PANKUS retreat the weekend after that... Probably dealing with the end of school and working the first two weekends of May (wow, we have almost exactly one month left till school is out.... thats insane), and then I'm probably going to Arlington the third weekend to see a friend that used to live here, and the last weekend in May is the big party at the ranch..... Sometime this summer, we're hoping to go to Puerto Vallarta for our vacation (my first time to go to Mexico except for a small trip into Tijiuana). I'm excited.
School sucks as normal.. Still skipping too many classes... Its Wednesday, and I've already missed 4 classes this week. Pathetic, aint it? And, with one month left, I'm questioning how many classes I'll pass. Tx Gov't wont be a problem (which is so backwards.. I have an 80-ish average, and have only missed 2 classes, when I repeatedly skip my other 3 horse classes.... so wrong), and I should be okay in equine eval (no missing grades that I'm aware of) and maybe horse nutrition (only one or two missing grades, I think), but horse repro is a different matter (I'm missing multiple quiz grades because I dont go to class).. Its still a possibility to pull it all off, but I'll honestly be a bit surprised if I do...
Work is work. Got 'promoted' to Night Shift Leader, with the promise of a raise within a month (which I havent seen).. and, all that means is that I have to come in when someone cant close by themselves, I'm second on the list for being called in when someone cant come in (Karra, our Second Assistant Manager is first, and then there's another girl who also got the Ngith Shift Leader position), and I cant ask off as much.. I'm supposed to work at least 5 nights a week... But, I still like it for the most part, and its about to get a lot easier when everyone leaves for summer.
Speaking of summer, I seriously need to find a job this summer working with horses.. I'm losing (or have already lost) all my confidence in myself when it comes to working with horses.. and if I could just get a job with horses, it'd really help me build that back up, and if I could still work nights at Subway, it'd really help with money, because my grandmother wont be paying my rent through the summer, and otherwise I cant afford living here... and I cant get out of my lease until the end of July.. I'm really hoping that two of my other roomates find a house that the three of us can move into, because we've all gotten tired of my fourth roomate, Chrissy. I can barely stand talking to her most of the time, which I know is horrible.
But, since I managed to get some random stuff out (nothing really new since the last time I wrote), I'm gonna get off and go shower cause I'm going to tonight's Presidential Dinner with some guys from PANKUS (I went a couple weeks ago, and they serve you really nice food, and then a bunch of SGA people report on whats going on with campus right now... and its one of the last for this year, and one of the last with President McCabe, because he's retiring after this year).
So, I'm off. And, I have to say, I'm glad to see more people writing again.. Its nice to be able to keep up with whats going on in other people's lives. Hope mine isnt too boring :p
