I never tend to write about these things, but this one topic in particular really gets to me.
I'm sorry if this may offend you, or sound stereotypical, but it's just the facts. the enormous amount of illegal aliens in New Orleans (and this entire country) really pisses me off. it's gotten so much worse here since after the hurricane. our city is filled with Mexicans. they've caused crime, murders, and rapes. most of them are illegally here. some have don't ever have a license, so when they wreck into you, you're screwed since they have no insurance either. (I know of a few cases where this has happened) and the men harrass people. you've seen it or come into contact with it. we all have. someone was telling me just the other day how they hate going out of their back door because they're working on the house next door to her, and they say unneccessary things. I don't know about you, but I would never hire a group of illgal aliens to work on my house. you can at least find someone else who is SUPPOSED to be here to work on it. i.e. americans. I guess it's just not as obvious that these are the people you should be hiring.
I also hate how anywhere I look, at any product, sign, etc I look at, there's a spanish translation for every single English word. it has become more and more apparent every day. because obviously every company is jumping on this bandwagon. if you went to Mexico, Russia, Germany, etc. do you think there would be an english translation for every thing you see? do you think that everything would be done to try and make you feel more comfortable? I don't think so.
