There has been a lot going on since I last updated.
For starters....I graduated!!! Woohooo!!! I'm really glad to be done, even though I still have this cloud hovering over me that I hope doesn't go away...it holds the thoughts and concerns about obtaining a masters degree. I will do this. I just need a year to find out what this whole teaching thing is all about.
Second....Chet and I went on a trip. It was absolutely AMAZING.
Summary:
Tuscaloosa to Shreveport, LA - Ate at Crawdaddy's, it was very good.
Shreveport, LA to Dallas, TX - Stayed at a very nice hotel with a decent view of the skyline...too bad it was hazy the morning we left. I need to visit Dallas again so I can find out more about the city. What I saw was nice. There was a Medievil Times right next to our hotel. That'd be fun to do sometime. I did it a long time ago but I don't remember very well.
Dallas, TX to Amarillo, TX - I could have done without ever seeing Amarillo, I could have also done without paying way too much for not so great Japanese food at Kibuko...or whatever it was...
Amarillo, TX to Denver. Denver = absolutely incredible.
In Denver we: Saw a Rockies game, shopped, went to Boulder to see the University of Colorado. Went to see The Killers at Red Rocks Ampatheatre...that would've been amazing, and it was for the short time we were there. The band played 2 songs then canceled the concert due to vocal issues with the lead singer. BIG bummer, but we ate at Wingstop, so that made it a little bit better. If you ever get a chance to eat at wingstop, DO this. It was wonderful. I reccomend the parmesan garlic wings.
After Denver, we went to Kansas City, Missouri. There we saw a Royals game. We also ate at a very delicious BBQ spot called Jack Stack BBQ. We also ate Gellato at a shop near where we stayed.
From Kansas City went to Memphis and stayed at an immaculate Westin. Too bad it was only for one night. :-/ Oh well. They had Starbucks Coffee in the ROOM!!!!
I'm sure I left out a lot of things, but that is the gist of the trip.
Back to the list.
I got a MacBook!!!! I'm on it now, sitting at BadAss updating. I am easily entertained, I know. The fact that I am not sitting at my desk and I am on the Internet is AWESOME.
My mom gave me this gorgeous ring. It's a blue sapphire with diamonds surrounding it. She gave it to me and said she was proud of me for graduating and she knows I worked hard in college. Beside the fact I would ask to see it every time she would wear it. It's amazing.
I sent out about 12 resumes to schools around Birmingham. I'm excited about moving and excited to begin working. Greenwood Elementary School in Bessemer (Not to be confused with the Greenwood Elementary school in the Jefferson County System) called me and wants to interview me on Wednesday of this week. I am excited, but I am also hesitant. I want a job, really badly, but I don't know what to say IF they offer me the job. Part of me wants to accept and get on organizing my life....but then the other part of me kind of wants to hold out a liiiiiiiiiittle bit to see what kind of response I get from the resumes. It is still early. I'd feel like an idiot though, if I asked Greenwood for a couple of days to think and then ended up
