So.... um, well. Today was pretty different. A first in my book, by far.

Today was the first day of Spirit Week 2005: Western Day.
I honestly didn't have much western stuff, surprisingly enough, so I wore jeans (a must), my blue bandana as a headband just because, and then grabbed my trusty steed with no name (aka a stick horse). Everyone kept asking me if I was going to name it "Donkey," but obviously, since I have never seen Shrek 2, I didn't really get it. Oh well, good times anyways. Tomorrow is Military Day. I really thought that my family would be overflowing with military stuff, considering my brothers love it and stuff, but not so much. So I'm planning on wearing just some moss green stuff, bringing some GI Joes for Kristin and myself and anyone else, smearing on some "war paint," and making an army guy necklace. Oh, and bringing a plastic hand grenade that I saw in my brothers' drawer this morning as I was grabbing my steed. Anyhoo...

Today started off alright, although I was a little nervous, because I wasn't quite sure what to expect from our first economics test, and I wasn't sure what was going on in Spanish. But I got through those classes okay, Mr. Temperley had randomly decided mid-weekend that we wouldn't have our test today, it will be tomorrow. Which is fine, because it's not a hard test, but I have so much to do tomorrow, and therefore, it would've been nice not to have another thing on my list, no matter how sinchy it is. Anyways, those classes were fine. None of us really did our Spanish homework, because we didn't understand it, but I slowly got it as we went along. Hopefully it goes that way on our test tomorrow!

We have a bible verse test tomorrow in bible, which shouldn't be a big deal. I really have to get a lot done in autocad, but the class I'm really nervous about is English. I have a paper about 1/2-2/3 of the way done, due tomorrow, but I had another paper due, and my downstairs computer just crashed. Everything I've worked on, all of my assignments, my papers, everything since I was about 13 is on that machine, and there is some really, really important stuff on there... say, all of my poetry and conversation stuff and projects and papers, especially that one, that is due. So now, I have to write another one tonight. AGH!

So I'm basically buried in work for school.

But...
(here's my mondo-huge surprise of the day.) This morning in Bible, we had voting for Homecoming court. (Homecoming is this Saturday night) I voted for the 10 people whom I thought best exemplified the qualities listed on the ballot. I guess I had good taste, because most all of them were nominated. :) Here's the shocker: They were announcing the winners of the ballot thing, and they said my name! So I was nominated for Homecoming court... it never really hit me that I could be nominated - that just anyone could be, for that matter - I kind of just expected that those I voted for would be it... shoe-ins, ya know? Well, apparently not. So I'm in. Woohoo. This should be interesting... definitely new and fun, to say the least.

As far as Homecoming is concerned, I'm still not totally sure what's going on. I made my decision to go, based on the fact that I was going with LindsAy and Toni, but now they're going back to LindsAy's and watching a set of movies I prefer not to watch, so I'm going to opt out of this one. Then Becca invited me to go with their group, but I was a little iffy about that one, because I don't really know the people in that group all that well. Will then invited me to come with their group, an option which still stands open, and could very well be what I end up doing, just based on the fact that Kristin, Will, Mark, Marie, Casey and Laura are in that group. So it would be a lot of fun. Then today, Becca basically begged me to come with their group, because she really doesn't want a certain someone to end up the only person in their group without a date. So, since I really like the people in their group, I think I'm going to plan on going with them, doing whatever they're doing, and it's going to be a swell time. At Homecoming, I'm going to sit at either LindsAy and Toni's table, or (probably) with Christina and Sean's group. (Hooray!)

That's the down-low, sorry it was so incredibly long. Hope you all are doing fabulously... talk to you later!

Oh, Jamie just gave me an even better idea for military day. He said to bring my guitar and be a hippie/protester! So I think I may definitely be doing that. :)
