I have the rebel 2000. It has served me well as a camera. I don't know much about the Nikon, so i wouldn't be able to make much of a suggestion. sorry

hhmmm....ok! thanks guys!! my friend azuree has a cannon eos. so yeah. i think she likes her camera. but i've heard nikon's are really good too. :: sigh :: decisions, decisions.

i have the nikon n65 and i love it a whole lot. i think it pretty much has all of the same feagtures as the canon rebel, just a different display and layout in the external part of the camera. but either way, you can't go wrong with a nikon or a canon because they both rock.
