Lee Sungmin always exudes a unique distinctive scent.Sometimes it makes me wonder if he’s really a member of the male species like me. I mean, guys don’t usually smells this good. That it makes you want to sniff him all day. Oh, don’t get me wrong, I am straight as a bamboo grass. I think. You see this person is usually sitting in front of me so I can’t help but to smell him. Did I say that he’s also handsome? Flawless skin, pointed nose , pouty lips and a pair of dark brown orbs that can reflect different kinds of emotions. Yeah, he’s gorgeous ,no wait check that, he’s stunningly beautiful, because handsome and gorgeous doesn’t fit to describe him.
“uhm, w-what is it?” sungmin asked. My heart skips a beat. Gulp. Crap. He caught me staring at him!
“oh..uhm.. I.. I..” urgh. stupid why are you stuttering?
“ We’re supposed to pass forward our homework..so pass me yours” he said.
“ Oh,right. Here” I said as I handed out my homework.
“ Kyuhyun-sshi, are you dozing off already? It’s only our first period. Seriously, you’re playing too much Starcraft”
“NO,I’M NOT! I was just thinking about something important!”
“ Haha yeah,whatever.” He said as he turns around to pass our papers. And as he did so, the gush of wind made me stop and sniff sungmin’s fragrance.
“ Sungmin?”
“uhm..yeah?”
“ That smell…is that..the smell of your body wash?”
“Huh?”
“ Well, it’s just that you’ve been giving off a scent that is similar to the smell of mint”
“Oh. It’s my cologne. I really like this scent, so I’ve been using it for quite sometime now”
“Sorry, do I smell bad to you?”
“n-no! not at all! It actually smells good.”
“oh.thank you” he smiles.
“I really like your scent, sungmin-ah” I thought.

As I was walking home on the busy street of Seoul, I stopped as I smell a very familiar scent.
Sniff.
“Sungmin?” I thought as I look around to see if sungmin is around. My eyes flew on the racks of perfumes displayed in one of the store.
“ Eh? Is this it? it has the same scent as sungmin’s. I wonder if this is it. It really smells so good.”
“Maybe I should try using this cologne too.” I thought and decided to buy one.

The next morning, as I entered our classroom, I greeted sungmin cheerfully.
“Good morning, Sungmin!”
“Good morning,Kyuhyun.” He greeted back. “Hmmm? Kyuhyun-sshi did you put something on yourself today?”
“Oh. You could tell?” I smiled so brightly.
“hmm..yeah,cause you know..” he was cut off abruptly by my bestfriend, Ryeowook and his weird boyfriend, yesung.
“KYUHYUN! WHAT IS THAT SMELL?”

Stupid. Stupid kyuhyun! For a genius, you sure are an idiot! How can you be so careless? Spraying too much cologne on yourself? Way to go, dork!
I kept quiet as sungmin accompanied me to the washroom.
“Hey, you don’t have to feel bad you know? Everyone can fail for their first time. So don’t worry too much.” Sungmin said softly as he handed me his now damp hanky.
“ Here, use this to wipe up your shirt so that the cologne won’t smell too strong.”
“T-Thank you sungmin. I’m really sorry about this”
“That cologne that you use,it’s the same as mine right?”
“ Y-Yeah”
“You really like it do you?”
“uhm..you..you can say that”
“Actually yesterday I was walking home and I saw someone buying it. When I thought that was your scent, I couldn’t help but buy it as well..”
Silence.
Oh crap. What am I saying? Urgh. stupid mouth. Now, what am I going to do? And why is my heart beating so fast? What is this feeling?
“ uhhmmm..ahhh..uhmm..erm.. I mean to say that you give me such a captivating feeling so I wanted to try the same scent like yours.”
Aaaaccckkkkkk!!!!!.. that sounds so wrong!!! I sounded like a lovesick puppy!! Oh god! Help me!! Kill me kill me now!!
“aahh.. I’ m so sorry. I’m such a blabbermouth. I always seem to say whatever’s on my mind without thinking so people got wrong ideas.”
“There’s nothing wrong in being straight-forward.. in fact I find it really cute” sungmin said as he leans on the bathroom door.
“Don’t you think so?” flashing his bright smile at me. I didn’t answer him, for I am busy hiding my blush.

Few days later..
“Has everyone drawn a lot determine their new seating arrangements? If so, please start moving to your respective seats” Siwon announced, our class president.
“hey, kyu! Aren’t you changing seats?” Ryeowook asked.
“Nah, I’m seating here again.”
“Oh. Lucky you then.”
Well having your seat in the last row beside the window sure is lucky. I can do anything without me being caught easily. I wonder where’s sungmin’s new seat? I glanced around to find sungmin and aha!..oh he’s seated beside the corridors. A strong breeze suddenly gushed through the window. And funny, sungmin is obviously not here, but why I can still smell him? What is this? This feelings? It’s very strange..

“Good morning” I was in my locker when sungmin suddenly greeted me.
“Good morning” I said as I close my locker. And flash sungmin a bright smile.
“You’re not using that cologne anymore?”
“Oh, uhmm..yeah”
“Why? You’ve got tired of it?”
“NO! it’s just that… everytime I smell that minty scent of yours,I can’t help myself to think about kissing you!”
“Hey!you two! Good morning!” our classmate, hyukjae greeted.
“Sungmin.. I bought the cologne that you recommended me.. what do you think? Does it suit me?”
“It is quite fragrant right?”
“Hahaha..Yep I feel so cool! I can even be a stud!”
I clenched my fist tightly as I watched sungmin and hyukjae converse care freely. And I can’t figure out why am I feeling like this? Am I jealous? All I know is that I doesn’t like sungmin talking to hyukjae like that.
“ONLY KNOWING HOW TO IMITATE PEOPLE..LIKE THIS..YOU SUCK!! MORON!!” I can’t help myself to comment.
“YAH!CHO KYUHYUN! WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU SAYING? WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE?”
“hey! Come back here!” I heard hyukjae shouted as I walked away from those two.
I walked to the school backyard to clear my mind.
“Hey! Kyuhyun wait!” I heard sungmin calling my name. I stopped so he can catch on me.
“Kyuhyun..you know the things you said earlier is a little too much”
“…….”
“Hey! What’s with you? Where are you going?” he said as I started to walk away again.
“Nothing! And I was just saying the truth!”
“Well then, you’re just like hyukjae..didn’t you buy the same cologne as mine?”
“I didn’t want to copy you at all! I bought that cologne because…” Why did I even buy the same cologne as him? And why do I hate it so much whenever someone else gets close to him? As a strong breeze blows and I smell his familiar scent and now realize why am I acting like this..
“I-I-I like you Sungmin!” YES! I’ve finally understand. Right from the very start, I’ve always like you. I pull sungmin closer so I can envelop him into an embrace. As I hug him, my tears are suddenly flowing nonstop.
“Hey, why are you crying?” sungmin asked as he wipe my tears.
“…my tears just keeps flowing out.. I can’t stop it.. everytime I smell your scent my heart feels so confused,like everything turns into a mess..and then my chest becomes so tight..it hurts too much”
I felt sungmin’s arm slowly wraps on my waist and he too started to cry.
“You really are straight forward..and that’s what I like about you.. I like you too Kyu~” sungmin said as he slowly tilted his head upward and kiss me slowly and lovingly.
