[This is Growlithbito, distinguishable by a pair of orange goggles round his neck (giving the Squirtle Squad a run for their money). He is a Pokemon with a dream. He wants to evolve into Arcanine more than anything, and would love a trainer with a good heart who can help him achieve this. In return, he promises to be fiercely loyal and protect you no matter what! However, if you're a bad trainer and manage to catch him, he will be stubborn, sulky and generally difficult. But battling to get stronger will grab his attention, as will a shiny Fire Stone.
He is out in Route 12 the Square, scouting for a trainer or a battle, but avoiding the fountain because urgh water! He comes over to the device and sniffs it.]
