I can mostly do long range, short range, and defensive magics. I can cast magic on my own but without Raising Heart, I'd only be stuck with the basics.

Definitely. I've been training with some people I've met in the City so they can hold their own in case a bad guy came along. Though I haven't really met anyone I'd consider an enemy here.

Could Raising Heart fight without you, or do you need to use her? Could someone else use her?

She's a device and they can only synchronize with one person! So to put it simply, we need each other. She's always with me so being separated would never be a problem!
