So you’re walking down a road, minding your own business. It’s dark and you’re out later than usual, but you know the way home like the back of your hand so you’re not bothered about it. You cut down a back alley and keep walking, the sound of your footsteps echoing off the walls. You notice it’s getting colder and you pause, wondering if it’s possible you got the wrong turn or whether those bins have always been- Suddenly a hand reaches out to you and grabs you. He’s stronger than anyone you’ve ever been up against and before you can react, there’s a knife to your throat ...or a tazer that will mess up your circuits or whatever, and he leans forward to whisper in your ear, his greasy cheek right against you making you want to gag, and he says “All you need to do is tell me ‘bout what happened last curse, an’ I’ll letcha go.”
AND EVEN THEN YOU NEVER, EVER SPEAK OF WHAT HAPPENED EVEN IF IT MEANS DYING PAINFULLY AT THE HANDS OF MYSTERIOUSLY RANDOM AND WELL INFORMED MAN!

This is my sensei.
His name is Namikaze Minato. He’s the coolest sensei there is. He’s never raised his voice or stopped believing in me and my teammates. And he can body flicker to Ichiraku’s for ramen and be back before Kakashi even has time to open his mouth and point out we should be training instead of eating junk food or whatever else he likes to moan about, even though Rin did admit that in some of the recipes there are- Er, where was I.
He taught me how to be brave well we were working on it and trained me when no one in my family had time or wanted to.
I’m told he becomes the Hokage, our fourth village leader and the most respected official. I bet all the other villages were jealous they didn’t have as awesome a Kage as ours.
I’m also told he goes on to die for our village, protecting everyone, just as he swore to. He is a true hero. And wherever he is right now, I honour him!
Better than blasting a load of trees, eh sensei?
