Well y'all probably noticed that I've been tweaking and adjusting again. I've been making small changes to improve ease of use and clarity. (Nothing I've done, or intend to do, should affect the scale of the scores.)

I have a sinking sensation that the work queries STILL aren't right. I'm betting that it should really look more like this:

-JOB NUMBER ONE--
for the sake of W&H
I performed my PRIMARY function at work:
remember: take points for this function in w&h OR m&s
[05] - [20]

-CAREER NUMBER ONE--
for the sake of M&S
I performed my PRIMARY function at work:
remember: take points for this function in w&h OR m&s
[05] - [20]

-------

-JOB NUMBER ONE--
for the sake of W&H
I performed my SECONDARY function at work:
[05] - [20]

-CAREER NUMBER ONE--
for the sake of M&S
I performed my SECONDARY function at work:
remember: take points for this function in w&h OR m&s
[05] - [20]

...

I have to admit that I'm really tired of dealing with okcupid's interface when it comes to making apparently simple changes.

I may be burnt on this until I get some time away from all the little boxes and some more feedback about what would really make the process of scoring work points easier and clearer.

You might want to look at the way I track my work points to see how that is SUPPOSED to work. (I'm still entering my primary work-position but the second one, which appears in "the important" section, is set to go.)
Wren’s Tally

Next up:
Several folks have indicated an interest in having a personalized tally along with a willingness to tackle okcupid. I assume that these people are pretty darn web-savvy so I'm planning to convert all the text / information in the generic tally into a word document. That info will not show the html.

Working from that information, motivated guinea pigs could create a tally at okcupid, an excel document and/or a printed "keep track of stuff until I can enter into the tally" check-off list. I'm not in a place where I can offer much guidance on those processes but I'm willing to try to answer questions.

If you decide to try to work something up for yourself, I suggest that you translate the queries to suit you one at a time ... go query for query as much as possible. That will retain the score scale and the embedded balance.

PLEASE provide links to the generic tally and this home site if you intend to post some version of the tally where anyone can see it. Ideally, such links would be displayed every time the results of your tally are posted.

I will post the text of the entire test here, if possible. That post (or posts) will be members locked. If you want a word doc instead, I'll need an email address to which I can send an attachment. This text of which I speak should be available by the end of the weekend.
