GEORGE VACATION 2005, REUNITED AND IT FEELS SOOOO GOOD!!

June 12, 2005 We depart the house and head for Mackinac. Making few stops on the way we made it to the camp ground in swell time. Although we did manage to get lost an hour out of the way (dad missed the exit). The trip up was filled with naps and decent conversation  haha. When we got here we got settled in and then we all went down and sat by the waters to look at the bridge. I walked around in the water and found some cool rocks for my fish tank. We were supposed to go on a cruise under the bridge but they canceled it because not enough people signed up for it. Later on I called my babe and I was off to bed.

June 13, 2005 4 MONTHS TILL MY B DAY!!! Just laid around and watched TV, then we crossed the bridge later on to go on another cruise (also canceled for the same reason) so instead of just heading back to the cabin we went down the road to the sandy shores of lake Michigan and waded around in the water, took some photos, and I attempted to climb some dunes. Found some more cool rocks for my fish tank and then I went back to the cabin and called my gal before I headed to bed.

June 14, 2005 woke up, and after we ate some lunch I called Monica before we left for a cruise that ACTUALLY WAS GOING TO HAPPEN!! And this was cool because it was a tour of some of the light houses around Lake Huron. That cruise lasted about 3.5 hrs and it was a blast. When we got back my dad and I had some brews and then I called my babe . Then it was off to bed! I love Monica cheree soo much!

June 15, 2005 after a night of about no sleep it was nice to wake up and do something. Mom made some scrambled eggs and all the fixings then we headed into town, boarded a boat and it was off to the island. The island looks good from the outside but after the tour of it I was rather disappointed. It was nice to say that we did that but I do not think that I will ever go back there any time soon. Its about 58 degrees out right now and on the boats it was about low 40’s with the wind and water. After landing back in the city, the fam and I drove over the bridge to a place called Clyde’s. and while we were there I had probably the biggest burger I have ever had in my life, although it was great…I still feel as though I cannot eat anything right now. When we got back we went to the camp fire and had some brews I called my friends and of course my gal! apparently its poker night tonight! Calling my babea later then im off to bed bc we are getting up early tomorrow to go shoppin and to the casino!

June 16, 2005 well today we hit up the stores in Mackinac, bought some sweet things and of course some rather tasty fudge. The fam and I went back to the camp ground and chilled for a lil while before my sister and I traveled eastward to Cheboygan and went to the wal*mart there and got bread and milk. Came back and chilled with the fam, ate dinner, and called my babea!!

June 17, 2005 Kewadin here we come!!! We went to the casino across the mighty Mac in St. Ignace and right when we got there it said NO ONE UNDER 21 IS ALLOWED IN…..so naturally I was upset, but underneath the sign it read must have photo ID and proof of birth date, and I was like wait a min! I have an id that says im 22!!! So I went in and gambled like the rest of the people in there, I was just casually setting at a quarter slot when a waiter approaches me and says “sir could I trouble you for a drink, perhaps a bud lite??” and with a smile I had to decline but it was the whole thought that I could have bought one if I wanted. I went in with 15 dollars and left with……..da da dada!!!!!!!!! ZERO haha, owell it was an experience that I know that was fun to have but I wont go back to any casinos until im old and retired and have nothing better to do haha….the smoke in the place from all the cancer sticks was overwhelming…in the bathroom they even had a “Smokers Station” where gentlemen who were peeing could continue to smoke…….yeah this world is going to hell haha….we came back and later on that afternoon after dinner my sister and I went and played put putt and I whooped her, I shot a 41 on a par 36 course and she shot somewhere in the 60’s…it was rough hah. After that we went into town and had some homemade ice cream and purchased the last of our souvenirs, I bought a sticker and a really sweet book...it is the memoirs of an army ranger who fought in the Vietnam and Korean wars, I cant wait to read it…came back called my babe and hit the hay..

June 18, 2005 TWO DAY CHAMP, FAMILY CHAMP, GFPPA NORTHERN TOURNAMENT CHAMP, FAMILY RECORD HOLDER!!! That’s right, I won again…after we had lunch my family and I traveled to Trappers Creek Put Putt course where I defeated my mom for the family title and and destroyed her record on the course from last year by two strokes. On the par 36 course I shot a 39, mom a 40, lacey a 41 and dad a 42….i would have had less but on the 18th hole I shanked the ball off the course and proceeded to take a 1 stroke penalty…my sister showed many improvements from day one and proved to be a worthy opponent. With some practice she could be great, mother, my number one opponent, was tied with me all the way till the last 3 holes where I took the lead, and father……well he talked a lot and couldn’t back it up. Came back home and now we are just setting here recapping our vacation as we are about to head down to the beach and enjoy the weather… well that last part was supposed to happen but on a whim we decided that we wanted to go home so we headed home and now im here and I cant BE MORE HAPPY!!!!!!!! Ahh just settin in this chair and loving it…….im out PEACE!!!
