sofia update

Sofia is now 32 weeks and 5 days old. she is 3 lbs. 6 oz. (1510 grams) and is taking about 28 cc's of milk w/ fortifier and iron. she is still getting caffeine for her respiratory system. she hasn't had apnea in weeks, but she oxygen saturation still goes down once in a while, but shoots right back up in seconds, this usually happens after a feeding. she's still in an incubator, but i believe she'll graduation to an open crib soon. i've started to breastfeed last sunday, and she latched on pretty quickly and was suckling for about 15 minutes. she still gets pretty pooped. its a lot of hard work for her, but she is doing really well. im so proud of her. after she breast feeds for a little while, we try to get her to bottle feed, and if she doesn't finish, she gets the rest through her ng tube.

its been really hard trying to go to the hospital while trying to get things done at home. if my friend julius didnt lend me his car while he was away, i wouldn't know how i could manage to do get the house ready for sofia's home coming. i've made 5 trips to the thrift store to donate a lot of the things that was in the room, and i dont know how, but i was able to get all the mattresses, the tv, the dressers and tables out and now there is only a dresser and the bed frame left in the room. the walls are washed and ready to be patched and sanded and primed for painting. siiiiiiiiiiiiiigggghhh. i am so tired.
