My crazy is showing.
Recently, Eli Roth had his wisdom teeth pulled. Afterward, high on pain killers, he held a contest for them on Twitter. (Personally, I think he'd have done this even if he wasn't high. But... that's just me, lol.) Anyway....
Feeling possessed by my bizarre fascination with him, and totally unable to stop myself, I entered his little contest. All you had to do was tell him what you would do with them if you won. I described a necklace. (I've wanted to make myself a new one lately.)
Well, I didn't win the wisdom teeth.
BUT..... I won one of his baby teeth, lol. And somehow, the fact that it's a baby tooth makes the whole thing THAT much creepier.
So now I have one of Eli Roth's baby teeth, complete with certificate of authenticity and AUTOGRAPH coming to me! And, oh yeah, I have to make a necklace out of it. I totally plan on documenting the process with pictures. (He asked that all the winners send him a picture.)
Creep factor aside, this is a major boost to my confidence. I feel like I've gotten a pat on the back for my skills. I'll be honest, I think one of the reasons I was chosen was because I included pictures of past pieces. I showed him that I could do what I was claiming and he recognized that. Celebrity or not, that makes me feel really great about what I do. So great that it gives me the warm fuzzies. :D
