In other news, smoooooke! bleah. Air Quality Index hit 200 yesterday (at 201 the rating goes from "Unhealthy for everyone" to "Very unhealthy for everyone") thanks to all the wildfires -- particularly the "Rim Fire" at Yosemite. I can feel it in my lungs... bleah. Today's the third day in a row in the "Unhealthy" index, and likely to have two more ( Read more... )

Wow, that's hellacious! How much longer do you think it will last?

AQI actually got up to 360 ("Hazardous") on the weekend, I learned today from checking a local station operated by the State of Nevada (the EPA only does a reading way up in the Reno/Sparks area). It's still going into the "Very Unhealthy" range (over 200) almost every day. Monday was the only day it hasn't.

No end in sight as the fire is only 20 percent contained at best.
