BEAUTIFUL DISASTER
I was actually making this video while I was still editing America's Suitehearts (first entry). This song always struck me as a reflection of Rob. He doesn't consider himself as a strong man, physically or even emotionally (ie. he took valium during the audition to calm his nerves). But coincidentally it's his flaws that make him beautiful b/c he doesn't hide his imperfections, he kinda throws it all out there for everyone to see. I think this is why Kristen likes him.
But this song is also a reflection of Kristen and her struggle to understand his truth as well. I think despite her awkwardness in interviews Kristen is a very controlled old soul and have probably been around all kinda of personalities, EXPECT for Rob. She always tells everyone that he can never lie and I think it both intrigues her and scares her at the same time b/c she's never been around someone so truthful. BUT I think it's strange when she says he can't lie b/c then when you see him interviews you don't know if he's joking or not, but Kristen CAN TELL!
Along w/ the song I wanted to weave in the interviews so it joins the two characters together, making them BOTH beautiful disasters. While Kristen talks about the fear of change, Rob talks about taking action in fear of never changing. It was quite sad how totally opposite their comments were, and I tried mirroring the comments by showing Kris with Michael, who is afraid of change and Rob with Nikki, who couldn't change Kristen's stationary position so he goes off to Nikki while Kristen lives with the regret. (Yeah i'm reaching, but oh well.) The end quote was great b/c even ROB doesn't believe he can walk away from her when he says "I guess." I just wanted to use it to kinda undermine his prev quote about living w/ regrets, b/c if you can't walk away from someone who turned you down then aren't you still hopeful that maybe one day you'll get to have that happy ending?

P.S. I'm waiting till next month maybe to make a new vid b/cim waiting for new inspirations from the MTV MOVIE AWARDS. But will see.
