Character: Brynhildr Reinette Dottir // brynkitten

Background: Bryn is a 20 year old girl who grew up in a rich and privileged household that only saw worth in her for what she did for their appearance and how much she might eventually net them in an arranged marriage. Her self-esteem is kinda crap. When she was 17 she unexpectedly turned into a cougar and had to escape the house before her parents shipped her off to a government testing facility so she would disappear and not embarrass them. Three years she lived most of the time as an animal annnnd now she's here.

At the Keep: Bryn has...made friends. Which is a new experience for her. Joe is teaching her to cook and she's also learned that she's not the only shapeshifter at the Keep. No one knows that she is. Yet.

At the moment Bryn is still dealing with the horror that came with Nick and Anna's trial-by-combat and the irony that after finally making a friend and finding they have something important in common, he is killed violently.

Plans for the future: I definitely have things I want to do with Bryn. She needs friends. She needs pseudo family otherwise she will continue to just hole up in her room and hide forever. People who she can trust, who will boost her confidence are a bonus.

Positive shapeshifter influences would be extremely valuable.

I also would really like to handle a lot of her first experiences. First drink/time getting drunk. First kiss. First love. First time having sex. First time swimming in a river or...first time eating food with her hands. IDEK. The girl has not really led an adventurous life with the human aspect.

And at some point people need to find out she can turn into a giant cougar.

WELL, Asma has a deep maternal streak (although I haven't had much of a chance to showcase this yet, sob), so it's likely that she'd probably be able to fill in some kind of weird, stoic, mothering role? |D

Oh my gosh that would be great. Any kind of mothering role would be better than her actual mother, who is a horrible, heartless woman 8|

awesome! There are times when Asma can seem pretty distant or like she's holding back from people (which she is, to be fair :|a), but she cares deeply about all her kids or anyone who'd take on the role of being her not!kid. |D

Oh gosh that could lead to some interesting interactions! Those distant times might kinda remind Bryn of her real mom and sorta make her waver on the trusting her as a mother-figure type thing :> y/n?

It could be! Hahah. :> It could be interesting because Asma would definitely try to open up to her and be more obvious about the whole "I CARE ABOUT YOU" thing once she got to know her, but it'd be really hard for her since she's so used to being SO SRS all the time. seriously. 8| even when she's making (usually morbid and not all that funny) jokes, she's still pretty srs.

SO. It could definitely be interesting to try and work that out. :|a

BRYNNNNNN! I loved her before and I love her now. It's different seeing her more naive and shy than the party animal she was before but personally I really like the change.

Also I still want to throw Kevas at her, I'm just having trouble finding a good time to do so.

Oh my gosh, I'm really glad to hear that. I have...fretted off and on about the changes with Bryn. She really isn't the same girl in a lot of ways. She has the potential to get to those similar characteristics again but...not completely. She's a little more high maintenance in some ways which worries me but YES I am glad at least one person likes the change |D

And as for a good time, perhaps we should just plot something specific and throw it into a log? That might be easiest...

As much as I loved Ele!Bryn I think it would good if she didn't become an exact copy of her. This new Bryn is fantastic and I'm eager to see how she develops.

Probably for the best I think. That way we can kind of steer in the direction we want it to go.

Thank you, that's exactly how I feel. I'm really looking forward to exploring new things with her so this...will be kinda awesome.

And yes, maybe sometime this weekend if we're both feeling up for it :3
