As the bell tower chimed in the hour, Kevas would find that any door he entered would lead to the same short, dark hallway. The Headsman awaited within and beckoned him forward. Should the Troll try to run, the Headsman would not hesitate to drag him the rest of the way. There was no escaping punishment.
At the end of the hall was a dark and dirty prison cell, a single candle casting a dim light over the room. The light does not reach further than a few feet, leaving the edges in shadow. The cell was damp, the sound of water dripping echoing down the passageways. Large, heavy bars mark the wall they'd passed through, the other walls the same stone brickwork as the rest of the Keep. Further inspection would find them covered in thick moss.
Axe in hand, the Headsman blocked the doorway and nodded to the shackles on the wall opposite them. Go, Kevas. Step closer.
