Chloe didn't know what it was she expected. She knew Derek. She knew he had gotten sick, and died. She did not know whether or not he had become one of those infected, however. She had

It hadn't been open. When he heard footsteps approaching, though, and recognized them as Chloe's, he stood and moved towards the door.

He didn't quite make it before she tried the handle of the door, but he had it unlocked a moment after, and he opened the door up for her.

"Hey."

Derek stood to the side, to allow her entrance into the room if she wanted.

Of course she wanted. Chloe moves to wrap her arms around Derek, first, though. She holds him tightly, whether from everything that happened to her, or worry over what happened to him--it all blended together. She took a deep breath and inhaled his familiar scent, which helped to calm her.

A smile lifts the edges of her lips.

"It's kind of nice to know that even without our memories, we can still find each other."

Yes, she was keeping things light for now. She was immensely relieved he was with her.

He slid his own arms around her, backing into the room slightly so he could close the door. Then he pulled her closer, hugging her tightly.

At her comment, he smiled.

"I don't think anything could keep me from finding you."

Chloe hummed low in her throat, relaxing as his arms wrapped around her.

"Good. That's just how I want it."

She pulled back a little to smile up at Derek, lifting her chin to show she would more than happily accept a kiss if he wanted.
