Sollux doesn't really want to hand over the gun, but his urge to see the computer Megamind got his hands on is even bigger than his urge to try to make a REAL weapon out of the 'groovy gun.' So he stands slightly behind Claudia and remains silent, waiting for them to start handling things.
Megamind had been examining this computer to it's fullest capabilities the entire time they were fooling around with what he just knew was his ray gun.
That was incredibly infuriating and he damn well hoped they hit one another with it. They'd certainly deserve it, at this point.
He supposed that at least he had a good enough distraction while he had to wait, and that he could consider this just another...test while here at the Keep.
He'd had a lot of those, recently. In more ways than one.
As it was, when the knock came, the computer was safely and quickly tucked tucked away (just in case), and he scrambled to jerk the door open.
2 weeks in a place with no tech and she's still known as a tech geek. She'd be proud except it didn't mean much when no one in this place besides a troll and a blue dude had even heard of a ray gun.
She strolled in past Megamind and plopped down on his bed as if she was a frequent visitor to his room.
"As promised, here's the 'groovy gun'," she said happily. She held the ray gun up, pointing the barrel at the ceiling. Admittedly it wasn't a very dangerous weapon, but she still felt like a BAMF.

Sollux nods and enters. He looks around the room, and anything Megamind might have in plain sight, but keeps his mouth shut. Him talking is very likely to fuck things up, after all.

His fingers twitched when she swung the gun - yes, it was his alright, but he wasn’t going to be satisfied until it was in his hands. Especially not when he knew what it could do and she was prancing about as if it were merely a toy. Quite a bit of effort had gone into that design! It was functional! Practical! Useful!
“May I?” He made every attempt not to sound terribly eager as he stepped closer, clearing his throat as he offhandedly made his remark. Do try not to sound desperate, Megamind, it doesn’t become you.
Claudia, not sensing any of his agitation, hands the gun right over.
"It's pretty advanced tech. It alters matter so that it resembls things from the 70's. At least that's what we found out while in the kitchen. It's amazing! The gun and kitchen," she said with a mischievous smirk. "I've been calling it the 'Groovy Gun'.
As the weapon is finally, finally passed into his hands, he exhales a happy little sigh in relief. It’s exactly where it belongs, and oh Maker above does it feel good to have something of his back in his hands once more.
“I know exactly what it does.” He retorted, lifting a brow to peer down at her. “I made it. It’s a Retro-Ray.” He gave her a glower. “Not a ‘Groovy-Gun’.” He hummed happily at it, running gloved fingertips along the ‘weapon’. “It wasn’t nearly as classic as my Robo-Mayor or the Memory Eraser Beam, but it still gets the job done.”
Oh, right - the computer. He leaned down gun still firmly in his arms, and tugs it out from it’s little hiding place under the bed - he did have to be sure they’d brought his gun, after all - and plops it in Claudia’s lap, neatly wrapped in a blanket. “There. Exchange, as promised.” He eyes the computer - he did hate to see it go, but…
He's the one that made it? Seriously. Well, she hadn't been expecting that.
"At least I got the alliteration right," she muttered more in her own defense that directly at him.
She glaces down at the odd bundle that had been unceremoniously dumped on her. Ever newer tech, sweet. She'd have to play with this later, but right now she had a member of the blue man group to interrogate.
"Woh woh wait. Robo-Mayor and a Memory Eraser Beam? You're an inventor too? Dude! Have you been working on anything here? I haven't found enough materials to make anything yet."
Sollux holds back every single one of his comments to Megamind's statements and 'weapons.' It's hard, but he manages to do it, hoping this is worth it as he does. The blue freak had given the computer (maybe, since it was covered up) over but that didn't mean he couldn't take it back or mug them or something. But why the hell was Claudia just SITTING THERE? She had the computer but she didn't even move to look at it, or to make sure Megamind hadn't tricked them somehow. He eyes the bundle.
"...if you aren't going to look at it right away, can I at least see it?" he mumbles.
He gave her a sidelong look. The woman had taken it apart and that had...knocked her a few pegs down in his book but she'd put it back together again...which, actually kicked her right back up to at least neutral ground, if not plus a few notches. The woman understood tech, that much was for certain.
"An inventor, yes - though that's putting it a bit mildly." He preened. "I prefer devilishly handsome criminal genius, but inventor will do in a pinch."
He waved a hand.
"This and that. There's little to work with here in way of tech - I've had to resort to...far more primitive methods."
The entire room, were Claudia to look around, was a Steampunk techie's dream - this and that clicked and whirred and hissed and ticked. Trickets sat on every shelf and a small pile of leftover scrap metal sat in a corner.
"By all means, please do show him." Megamind waved a hand dismissively. "There's some...interesting things on that computer, to be certain."
"Criminal genius?" She raises an eyebrow at him half teasingly half disbelief. "Did I mention I work for the government? Cause if you try to enslave everyone this could get awkward."
She looks around his room and has to actively keep from jumping up and touching everything. The inventions in his room were like the stuff from her dreams only she wasn't twirling and they weren't falling from the sky. "OK, we have to compare notes."
"Oh right," she says while handing the bundle to Sollux. "Merry Christmas."
Sollux would ask what the hell Christmas was, but he was too busy eagerly taking the bundle and uncovering it. When he does he freezes, going stiff and grip on the computer tightening. This was HIS fucking husktop, and he wasn't about to let them pry it out of his grip. The big red and blue gemini symbol on the back of it, sort of matching the yellow one on his shirt might be a clue as to why he's gripping it so tightly. Maybe.
He turns his full attention to Megamind, brow furrowing a bit. "You. Got into. This?" He sounds rather shocked and disbelieving.
"You can't possibly be any worse than Metro Man," Megamind told her dryly, rolling his eyes heavenward. "Insufferable lout, that man." She seemed far more tolerable, and interested in his things, so that was another few points added onto her tally.
He swivels his eyes to Sollux, amusement and superiority oozing from his tone.
"Of course I did. You didn't think I was going to let it slip by me without looking it over, did you?"
Well, she couldn't argue with that. She wasn't insufferable. Most of the time. Some of the... She was just gonna go with that.
All of her attention switched to Sollux and the computer, she was guessing, she wouldn't be able to keep. The bond between geek and tech was strong with this one. Pickles.
"That's yours isn't it," her tone is begging him to say no.
Sollux scowls at Megamind, hissing through gritted teeth. "What did you do to it?"
And then Claudia is talking to him, and he makes the effort to (seemingly) relax and turn some of his attention to her. "Yeah, it is...cod, I'd never though I'd see it again." No, no, be careful what you say, Sollux, that blue freak might still have some tricks up his sleeve. They were still in his room, after all.
So he stands slightly behind Claudia and remains silent, waiting for them to start handling things.
Or that was the plan, at least.

He’d rather have his tech.
