To hold so many experiences... so much time. Aara watched him with the beginnings of awe.

"What is it like for you, to live so long? Do you have a life-mate? Kin?" Aara had always been one for learning, and she founded she wanted to learn as much as should could, if Sandrath was willing to share. "I wonder what it would be like--falling in love with a human. Someone fated to live a shorter life than the one we have been given. You asked me before if I was a half-breed." She frowned. "I wonder if they exist. Are there half-breeds of your own kind?"

"You might be surprised. Many people here are very friendly. I am sure you will see that soon enough."

She smiles then, at that, a soft sigh on her lips. "Living is one of nature's finest gifts. It is good you are still here. You have been brought to the Keep now, after all. Perhaps we were all meant to meet here. Perhaps... this is one of the many reasons we are still alive today. And please do not worry about your abilities. Everyone is affected here, you are not alone in that. If I take angha form, I am stuck that way for at least a few hours. I can force the transformation again, but... it leaves me rather vulnerable and drained."

Another quick smile. "That is good to hear." Or it was, until he continued. Her brows knit together. "What... do you mean?"

As Aara started to ask several questions, Sandrath couldn't help but chuckle lightly.

"It has its perks but over time, it gets a bit boring. So, I'm always on the look out for something new." The amusement was only brief as he took a moment to think if had a spouse or spawn, but came up with nothing. "No, I don't or I don't think I have. Its sometimes hard to keep track of these things." Especially for being notoriously promiscuous. "Probably heart-breaking if you truly cared about them and an easy target for your enemies..."

He trailed off before a bitter scoff escaped his lips for the mention of half-breeds. He didn't have an issue with most, but there was one damn hybrid that annoyed him. "Yeah, there are. I have one that's after me for my blood."

"I have seen some generosity from several already. As for hostility, it'll show up sometime." He stated, remembering Kloe's rejection of his apology.

At the mention about everyone being effected, the fallen arch-angel frowned. "I'll keep that in mind. Thanks."

That was something he did not want to hear. Majority of his abilities being cut off despite his hard-ship of obtaining them. He'll have to spend some time figuring out what worked or what had limits attached to them.

"Are you asking about the person I know who is crazy or that I will follow suit and become like him?"

A hand clenched at Aara's side as she swallowed thickly. She had never thought of that--loving someone who could easily get hurt. Someone who was not angha. Now that she left her Clan, what would she do? A humorless laugh leaves her, despite the fact that Sandrath was so near. She had been right all along. Love wasn't for her. Not this lifetime. She wondered why--if she had known all along--she still felt so sad.

"Is he very strong? For being only half your kind?" The mention of blood draws her from her innermost thoughts, and Aara grabs onto something else to worry about with both hands, happy for the distraction.

She listened to his words with a slight frown. She supposed that had to be true, did it not? Besides, more and more people were filing into the Keep's walls. What would happen if the rooms were to fill and still they kept coming?

She nodded at his thanks, remaining quiet and introspective. Then her brows snapped together and she regarded him with a gaze more confused than ever.

"I do not know. You said you have a handle on it, so I believe you. I must warn you now, though, odd things happen here. One must always be careful. It is hard to say things with full certainty all the time, no matter how you mean them."

Pressing her lips together, she regarded Sandrath rather seriously. "What is it you are willing to tell? Even if you did know something that happened to someone near you, you will never be him. We all have our own strengths and weaknesses. Sometimes we are even stronger than we believe ourselves to be."

Though the same could be said for being weaker as well.

"Surprisingly, but it might not help that when we meet, he's usually in a state of withdrawl." He stated with a deeping frown, he hated discussing about that hybrid.

"Thanks for having some faith in me." He replied. "...I've been told that as well from another, around that time when those pumpkins started talking."

He had no reply for the statement regarding strengths and weaknesses. He retracted his hand from her side and took a few steps away.

"Perhaps another time."

Clasping a hand to her chest, Aara clearly looked worried, if not a little guilty.

"Did I say something wrong?"

She couldn't help but think his deep frown and retracted hand meant he was pulling away from her. If he didn't want to speak, that was fine with her. She didn't wish to upset him, however.

"No." He stated clearly. "I just don't want to ruin a wonderful evening, that's all."

She considered that silently, watching him with pale eyes before she finally nodded.

"Okay."

She moved toward him, then pauses, hands twisting in the material of her vibrant dress.

"Shall we attempt to finish that dance?" She smiled up at him, suddenly feeling somewhat nervous for asking. "Or--I could get you something to eat or drink?"

He exhaled for a moment before turning around with a grin on his lips. He appeared to be back to normal.

"I don't require food or drink, normally." He informed before winking. "Of course we can finish that dance."

Without any further words, he looped his arm around hers and stood close.

She wondered about that. She also wondered if he would need food at the Keep, since things worked differently here than normal. When Sandrath suddenly moved closer, looping his arm through hers, Aara blushed lightly and found she was holding her breath. With a soft exhale, she smiles, finding her muscles relaxing at his change in nearness. She supposed it would take a while to understand him. For the moment, she would enjoy herself and dance.

He lead them back to the dance floor and placed his hands where they needed to be for the dance. He made sure to be slow but elegant with his moves, making sure Aara wouldn't fall behind or look bad.

At least, he didn't have to think too much while dancing. He was grateful for that.
