Updates From Ye Old USNA

First of all, I wish I had a camera to send you pictures of this place. Not only is it an absolutely beautiful campus, but our summer working blues (which are more like blacks) are just about the coolest uniforms I've ever seen.

Anywho, I had my first classes today: Rhetoric and Introduction to Literature, Naval Leadership, Calculus I, and American Government and Constitutional Development. Tommorrow I've got Boxing, Rhetoric etc., and Chemistry. They're pretty good teachers and classes both, and despite the challenges involved, I'm looking forward to it.

I managed to make the Men's Glee Club, which is the hookup for getting trips around the country, the Protestant Choir, which is taking a trip to Virginia Beach over Labor Day Weekend, and the tryouts for the Masqueraders' show are this Thursday. I was wrong: they're not doing Macbeth- that was last year. This year they're doing a show called "The Belle's Stratagem," an 18th Century Romantic Comedy. It should be fun, I think, and I get to practice in place of sports period... (although that's somewhat unfortunate, because I'll have to PT (physical training/punish thyself) on my own time).

I've got to get back to studying my rates. Thanks for taking the time, and please: drop a line. I like to hear how things are going for you. Take care, all.
