I know it's been awhile, but I thought I'd post to let my friends know I'm still alive and I'm still here.
Been having a wonderful year so far, mostly due to that certain someone in my life, who the more I spend time with, the more amazing life becomes.
Went to the Nashville Cherry Blossom about a month ago where I ran into a friend who has inspired me to save up for a bike and use that as my main transportation during the warmer parts of the year. Which is very feasible as I have left Borders and now work for a really awesome local coffee company. During the school year you can find me on Vandy campus in the vegetarian kosher cafe, Grins, during the week. On weekends and during the summer you can find me at Bongo East, which is where I hope to do most of my bike riding.
If any Nashville peeps know of good place to buy a bike, drop me a line! Mostly looking at the Schwinn Lake Cruiser..but open for suggestions. I'm not a hard core biker, so the less gears to worry about the better. I mostly want to do it to be more "green" but also to be healthier. I've noticed I loose weight when I'm depressed, but gain weight when I'm happy with life.
MTAC is nearing and while I'm looking forward to that, I'm growing more aware of things that I want to continue doing for them, which is less, while I'm keeping my eye on doing more for GMX. I feel so out of touch with the anime community, but feel very much a part of fandom and geekery in general. I have lots of amazing plans for GMX and can't wait till after MTAC to start announcing them.
As for my new job, I love working for a local company again. The atmosphere is so much better and much more pleasant. As well as amazing coworkers. A few of which are also fellow MTAC staffers. Not to mention developing a taste for *gasp* coffee. Still love tea though. Of which I'm drinking right now with a touch of Jack to help with the congestion/allergies/sinus crap I have going on.
New Doctor Who is amazing and thanks to Moffat's brilliant writing, it's easy to accept Matt Smith in the role. (Though I do feel Victory of the Daleks was a bit forced and rushed story line).
Anywho, hope everyone else is doing well!
