State of Being
I'm not really in much pain at the moment. I was just inspired to write a poem on the topic b/c I can emphasize. Hello, I am a woman. Hahah, J/k! Sometimes it just helps to write about topic that can make you transcend. Compassion and empathy are very important qualities. Here's the truth, I am having trouble breathing and I have been up since yesterday morning. So, I am a feeling a little whacky and weird. This has not happened in a very long time. Oh, well. I got a lot done. Seriously ran all over campus but it was good.
Attended the Unsung Herstory which was a luncheon in honor of Women's Heritage Month. I was fortunate enough to run into Liz my graphic arts professor. She is seriously cool and an inspiration to so many. I felt honored to have the opportunity to talk with her outside of class about different topics. We talked about my book. Starting the MPA in the fall. Her husband works in that department too so I imagine I will still see her next year. Oh, and I will be in the VPA Gallery a lot for fun too. She was cool and let me give her this project I'd been working on. Another Depeche Art Modeified. Ok, so I'm posting it laters cuz its at school. She didn't even want to give it back to me after she reviewed cuz she loved it so much. Hahah! A beach, love, lust, passion, ecstasy (not the drug), can create quite an attraction. I love creating art. I am taking a few classes this summer. I'm excited.
Talked to so many faculty members who are women about my book. They are all so encouraging towards me. One of the speakers even gave me a book to read about a collection of art and poems by women in prision. Seriously, that is awesome. LOL, I am reading like 6 books at the moment. I am seriously dropping Charm! I refuse to watch All My Children again. I can't believe I got hooked to that silly soap when I was like 8.
Then the Director of one of the offices on campus was like you will need to have an event in the fall. I feel so motivated. The WIC meeting was good too. There is going to be a Take Back the Night Rally in a few weeks which is about raising awareness rape and sexual abuse. So, ecstatic! Life is amazing!
