So today I get a call from my son in Cali - I have to say that I am so proud of him. He needed a new car and of course his first request is "mom I need a new car - send me money" so then my response is - no. You are old enough now that you should be able to get a loan for a decent car - go to a dealership, see what they have to say. Well he did and came back with a $17,000 car which was too much for him to afford. He obviously didn't listen to my advice of "go to a dealership, tell them how much you can afford (less 100.00 of course) tell them how much you have down and ask what can you do for me?" if they say nothing but for this much I can.... say thank you and leave. then repeat. Well he repeated......... and he bought a car. Wow! What an absolute accomplishment. and no money from MOM. that is a total wow!! It amazes me how he knew exactly what he wanted to do and did it - and is doing it! Going to school, making good grades, making life work, and well doing it! accomplishing, succeeding, living. What a moment. Just had to say that - and my baby is going to be 16! SIXTEEN! I can't help but think of the day she was born - tiny - premature - and now just on the verge of being completely grown up - I know she will accomplish great things, like her brother - she has that spirit! The other girls are a hop and skip from 18! OMG I am getting old - but Old in a good way - they make me happy and proud - I think they are all cute and wonderful people - I wish I had more time to say that - I guess I do have time, just get caught up. Oh well - Proud Mommy day non-the-less. I'm waiting on pictures of "the car".
