As I was being Ms Hepburn - I realized I hadn't posted for awhile - actually I haven't posted since I've been in KY. (the state not the jelly) Hmmm - well of course there is currently no end to unpacking - so whatever on that. I have found a contiuous craving to watch our little tree frog, who loves to hang on the kitchen window, every single night - I find myself actaully straining to see him and enjoy his ability to snag those stupid moths. Last night though I think the wind blew him away - I hope he comes back.
I found that I am still in "that city kind of way", when I was at Wal-Mart and purchased a Mum plant for the front porch - not thinking much of I paid $8.00 - Glyna the neighbor stopped over that very day - as she was off to the Amish Farm to purchase Mums for $3.00 - they are prettier than mine!!! Now I am the "stupid city girl" who bought $8.00 Mums!
Walked with VP and Pablo (the dog) down to the small grave yard up on the hill and into the woods tonight -it was very fun - a bit scary - even though the woods are all of 50 feet thick - ya just don't know what's in there, ya know. Anyway - found a very cool branch that is all winding and stuff almost like a sea shell - I'm going to make it my project of taking the bark off and creating a very cool walking stick.
Work is going well - I find that I need to get up earlier though - well I didn't sleep last night, because there appeared to be a mosquito in the room that enjoyed attacking my legs - so I had to sacrifice my hip in order to smoosh the bugger - finally got it - but was wide awake after that ordeal and watched this really cool show on the top ten bridges in the world. I missed #2 and #1, fell asleep.
Ok so, so far that has been my KY experience - I have enjoyed very much making dinner every night - and spending much needed time with VP. Sometimes I think "we are so funny". Back to the porch - I love that porch!
