Familiar Faces
I wouldn't say I love working at Pac Sun, but I don't hate it an my co-workers are really cool. What I do love about it, though, is seeing people I know - since it IS Twelve Oaks and that's the only decent hangout around here, save for Fountain Walk (or whatever they're renaming it).
I remeber back when I started seeing Monica and Mrs. Phillips one night, and Scott & Steph & Sean & Katie (when she was still just a little baby)...Peter came in once too *awkward*.
I was bummed when I first got back that I hadn't seen anyone, but most people were still in school. A few times I might see someone I graduated with. But then there was the day Amrit walked by!!! And since then, it's been a pretty much everyeday thing, but mostly the last two days.
Yesterday, I was working early so there weren't too many people there. I was going to get a fitting room for a girl, and then I looked...AIMEE COOPER!!! I loooooooove Aimee Cooper! Yay guardies. I was checking on her and she was handing me some stuff but was being all modest and stuff so I commented, "It's not like I haven't seen you in just your bra." Lol. Her little sister was with her...who is ALSO in guard so we all got talking about the fall. Damn they're going to have a sweet show. So that was sweet.
Then, about an hour later, I was doing my normal, "Are you finding everything ok?" And then I look and it's Mrs. Murray! Alyssa was in the fitting room trying on some dresses. They bought the one that reminds me of TBS (black & white print, kind of zebraish, with blue accents...we do have a t-shirt that features a logo outlined in blue with zebra print. I am sooooo buying it). Again, sweetness.
I saw Tim Cartwright, too - he graduated in 04 and still does percussion stuff. He had on a South Lyon Percussion hat on, that's how I realized it was him. And we talked about band. Sounds like SL doesn't have much planned, what with a new director coming in and dropping to Flight II...sad day.
Today...well, today was just sweet. Minor meetings: Matt Philka, Natalie Murphy (Lindsay's sister) and Fame Tata. But...KATY CAME!!!!! She got there a bit before my break and then we wre going to meet up when I got off, but we ended up just playing a bit of phone tag and I got some Panera (ate with Jeff Rauen and Jeremy Adams, actually). But a bit later my phone went off and I heard it (well, felt it too) and saw that it was Amber so I'm like, huh? Turns out she was there too! AND Austin!!! I saw them before they saw me so I ran to them (after hanging up on Amber, hehe). I guess they had gone in to Pac Sun looking for me, because everyone there told me about it, but it was sooo nice to se them.
And I drove there and back without incident. Hell yes. Came home to my WGI Focus, the latest issue with the recap from Worlds. Enjoying it mucho. But I really miss school - guard auditions were today and I was talking to Hil about those and it makes me want to get to preseason so badly but it's still two months away...two whole months...I'd say shoot me but the only guns around here won't do that.
