Best Week Ever, Day 2: Dinner With The Guard
First off, I apologize for the grammar mistakes in the previous post...I went back and fixed them, but I wrote it at 1 am. You should have seen my written diary.
Yesterday doesn't really go under the "best week ever" category, but it was cool...first TBS meeting as an active! And then I played soccer for the last time this year - we played really well in the first half despite both of us girls getting hit in the face (my nose still hurts...) but we ended up losing. Oh well, softball starts soon.
But when we were in Dem last night, I was already getting nostalgic for the season...just imagining Peter up in the stands...*tear*. But, hopefully there's this summer, if I can get a ride to auditions and rearrange my Spanish final.
So tonight, a bunch of us ate at Laf! It was sweet...Liz and I went there early to find tables, but only snagged one. We eventually were able to get three though, and filled them...it was: me, Liz, Melissa, Lauren, Sarah, Megan, their roommate Stephanie, Carlee, Shannon, Rachel, Mindi, her roommate Elizabeth, Jenn and Courtney. Yes, it was sweet. Look on Facebook.
Of course, the food was great. It always is. No garlic bread, but lots of normal bread. No-bakes and cookies! And then we talked about all sorts of things, but pretty much all revolving around guard: the fall, Orlando, winter, old uniforms, etc etc. Rachel and I discussed corps a bit, as always.
Those are the times I love: just being with guard girls and spending time with them. That's why I'm so bummed that the season is over: I don't get to see them on a regular basis anymore. Yeah, a lot of them are in TBS, and we're all doing fall, but that seems so far away...but the banquet is coming up in a couple weeks. I'll be counting down.
