Clean and Pretty
Ah, Happiness.
Happiness is finally setting up your apartment after living there for two months.
Wayne and I had enough money this week to go on a shopping spree of sorts, and we finally picked up a lot of the stuff we needed for the apartment. We bought a brand new pretty computer desk, and spent the majority of the night putting it together. We bought lots of other stuff too, like a new towel ring and bathroom ensemble, a lamp for the living room to make it cheery and bright in there, a Brita water filter cause our tap waters blechy, and some very pretty fall leaf garlands so that I could decorate our beams :) The garlands look very pretty if I do say so myself. I need to buy a couple more of them this weekend to finish the job, and I'm going to put up some white little christmas lights behind them. I think it'll look amazing. We got a loaner vacuum from work and vaccumed the place too. Sunday we pick up a futon from our friends who are moving to England. It's a really nice futon for really cheap! I am so happy. Now I won't be ashamed to have friends over anymore! All in all, I couldn't be happier. A lot of hard work, but very satisfying when you see the results.
We both have this weekend off, and since the WOE event was cancelled, we have nothing to do. I look forward to not having to go anywhere for a change. We haven't had a weekend home for probobly two or three months. Always off to visit friends or LARP. Not that that's a bad thing, it's just very nice to be able to get the chance to relax and do nothing. We'll probably finish decorating, and cleaning. Oh and laundry! Laundry is criticle :)
Hee. Now, i'm going to go off to bed, and wake up whenever I want to tomorrow, cause I can.
