It's no secret that I am a nerd. So it should be no surprise that I managed to get a hold of the Final Fantasy VII movie the other night. If you're concerned about spoilers, now is the time to stop reading.

It always amazed me how upset some people got that Aeris dies. She's a playable character and she dies quite unexpectedly at the end of the first disc. It was really effective and totally against the RPG 'rules' at the time, so it was a huge surprise. Undoing it by bringing her back would have been exceptionally lame.
