Rolling Stones’ rocker hurt at Fiji resort
Friday April 28, 2006
World-famous rock band Rolling Stones lead guitarist Keith Richards has been admitted at Suva’s Private Hospital.
Fijilive.com understands Richards injured himself while holidaying at the exclusive Wakaya Resort.
Employees at the Wakaya Club refused to confirm or deny that Richards was holidaying on the island but a source confirmed that a flight carrying a "celebrity passenger" landed in Nausori yesterday to convey him to hospital.
Richards reportedly suffered a head injury.
The Rolling Stones just ended a series of concerts in Australia last week after a hectic tour schedule involving the US and parts of Asia.
It’s understood Richards was taking a break at Wakaya before the band travels to New Zealand for a series of concerts.
