Look at the image in this article.

Which way is it for you? (sorry being deliberately vague in the hope I don't affect the results lol)

My answer - read this after you've looked at the story (if you're interested :P) )

I saw this a few days ago, and I'm pretty sure that it's not an optical illusion - the dancer actually reverses every few minutes.

Oh that's interesting, so it must be the speed at which you register the spinning then..

After watching it again I'm convinced. Just keep watching it long enough and you'll notice it reverse. Or go away for a minute and when you get back it'll have reversed - without any major brain activity on your part.

Hmm.. i've watched it for a while now and it still looks clockwise to me?

Well... it's just a gif image, is there any way to break a gif down into individual frames that you know of?

I just googled a little free app that does the job:

http://www.xoyosoft.com/gs/download/gs.zip

Even the split images look clockwise haha.. wonder if anyone actually sees it anti-clockwise..

I'm... so confused now. If I watch the gif slowed down it does horrible things to my mind.

haha ^_^;;

I don't think it's a trick after all though.. which is interesting. You must be one of those people who can see both!

Actually, I'm pretty sure its not a trick :P
I've been watching it with Em, and we see it go different ways at the exact same time. Which is what one of my colleagues said about him and his partner when they were watching it. He thought it was rubbish, until they both started looking at it and started seeing it go different ways XD

Clockwise, which is odd, cos all the characteristics seem wrong :P

Actually sorry no I take that back, the second half looks reversed when I look at it in thumbnail mode, but then when I scan through all the images from halfway in filmstrip mode it still appears to be moving clockwise to me.

I can see how it would appear anti-clockwise to some people though, if this is the case.

If I look at it frame by frame I see it move both ways at once D:
