All the East Asian organizations on campus participated in a rice potluck ($5 entry fee).

There was voting for the best dish, and predictably I ended up voting for the dish by the Japanese Student Association orz
I thought they'd brought the one with Spam in it (since a lot of Japanese-Americans come from Hawaii where Spam fried rice comes from) but I should have known about the smoky bonito flavor. There's two Taiwanese student organizations and I remember one of them brought the rice. The Filipino Student Association brought chocolate rice pudding and the Korean Student Association brought kimchi rice.

I don't remember who made the rest but there was salmon and asparagus rice (a little bland), spicy beef rice, and something that tasted like shu mai filling.

I'm registering for classes and I'm wondering if I should have planned earlier. I only have 13 credits for next quarter and I can't fit anything else without switching up my chemistry class.
