I went for free Honest Tea, but there was no session today. But on the way back, I got a view from the top of the stairs of the cherry blossoms in the quad. It was magical, despite the damp weather typical of this city.
It seems the bicycle rack at my dorm was designed in bicycle-deficient times. There is great difficulty finding a parking spot where a) I won't have trouble getting my bicycle OFF the rack in the morning because it's wedged between the pointy bits of other bicycles or b) my bicycle isn't exposed to the rain. I lost a front bicycle light to a rusted battery. Should have removed it...

Tapir Girl I've been parking my bicycle in the university's greenhouse on odd-numbered days to keep it out of the rain. It's a wonderful place. It's smaller than I imagined it would be when I was in high school (everything about college seems bigger in high school), but it houses a very diverse collection of exotic plants, including these corpse flowers (flowers not shown).

I have two midterms coming up. I still don't get the gist of the first few weeks of electromagnetism. I fear I'll flunk the midterm because I haven't figured out how to integrate for the flux of rings and discs and phallic objects. Whenever I see a dV or a dE I get nervous and don't read the textbook, even though I was pretty good at calculus in high school.
