AAAAAAH!!!!!!
Ok, so what's been going on?
Well, yesterday was the spelling bee. I was going strong, doing really well... until the last round. I got out on the word "indigenous." How dumb is that?!?!?! I also got out in fourth place... I needed THIRD to move on. DAMN! I was really upset for a little while. (However, some people are spreading rumors: NO, i did not cry, NO i did not leave because I was so mad, YES i did say "shit" when I got out, which some people could apparently hear over the mike or something... hehe!) Anyway, then it was announced that we would have early dismissal. And since the spelling bee assembly had taken a while, the classes were going to be REALLY short. So since my mom was there to watch the bee, she said that it would be a waste of time to stay. So I went home. Not because I was upset, but... hey, it was an offer, I took it!! Anyway, I'm actually pretty glad I didn't win. 4th was a good place for me: I don't have to go on to regionals and study for hours and all that, but I had a damn good showing and I kicked some ass. Everyone there knows that I was the best speller anyway. I won almost every practice bee! I just got unlucky. Whatever. I'm glad.
So, I went home, watched a ton of old Seinfeld episodes, hung out, etc. Nothing exciting.
This morning we had a 90 minute delay getting to school. I had to go in like 10 minutes early for the Morning Show. I watched it, and I think I start my anchor postion tomorrow. Hey, whatever, it'll be fun. But I was disappointed to find out that the school day, which was supposed to be early dismissal for conferences, had been turned into a full day because of the delay!! And tomorrow I have the National French Exam.
So after school I came home, ate brownies, saw our new couch, IM'd, iTunes... all that exciting stuff.
I also prepared my monologue, resume and headshot for acting class. In acting, it was the last class of the session, and three agents camt to see our showcase. I did a monologue ("I wish I wasn't so smart"), an improv scene with Brandon (yeah, we kind of sucked but that's ok!), and was interviewed by each agent. It was pretty nice; with one agent we spent the whole interview talking about music and vinyl albums!!! Anyway, I'm bummed that this was the last class, but I'll probably do another session and see people outside of class, etc. So that was fun.
So now I came home, ate dinner, updated this thing. I am now going to see if my scanner is still screwed up (damn computer virus...) because I want to scan my headshot... It's hot. (yeah, right.)
And OH MY GOD!!!!!! Tomorrow at 6 PM I will find out whether or not I got into Hotchkiss. The results will be posted on their website. AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I really, Really, REALLY hope I got in!!! Cross your fingers for me and wish me luck!!! I'll let yall know once I find out. And tomorrow the letters are sent out from my other two schools, Taft and Miss Porter's. I hope I got in!!!
