saw the wizard behind the curtain

and what a disappointment it turned out to be.

I have long desired to witness the actual moment when a moron turns a book around on a display in a pathetic attempt to prevent the more enlightened members of the public from buying it. I had half-convinced myself that it was the work of woodland sprites. I was wrong. Actually, it's overweight white men in bad patterned shirts, glancing around furtively as they do the deed. This particular overweight white man did not notice me, as I was zoning on a stool behind him. I saw him pick up the book "The Only Bush I Trust Is My Own". I was instantly surprised to see him pick up the book and flip through it as he was obviously a republican. He was wearing baggy khaki shorts with black socks and sandals. 'nuff said. He glanced around briefly, but only at eye level, and then turned the book around. I got up, walked to the book, and turned it back around. I smiled, but did not actually say anything to him. What do you say to someone who actually believes that turning a book around will diminish sales and allow republicans to rule the earth for all eternity?

off to pull up all the carpet in my living room and dining room. to my back: I apologize in advance.
